Great for baby and doesn't drive parents crazy!,
This review is from: Baby Goes New Wave (Audio CD)
We just got this cd for our 7 month old and so far she likes it. Plus we are so happy to have something we like coming through the monitors at bedtime. Instead of groaning waiting for her cd to end we find ourselves enjoying the baby version of songs we love.

Startin' 'em young with 80s music,

I saw this compilation in a store, and had to purchase it based on the song line-up alone - a lullabye version of "Enjoy The Silence??" Well.....there's another series where they took Nine Inch Nails and Green Day songs and set them to lullabye music, so I figured this wasn't too groundbreaking.
I love all of the original songs, and still I felt this was going to be cheesy and a waste of my money. Thankfully I found myself laughing WITH the music; I liked what they've done with these songs. I especially like how they've painfully replicated "Just Like Heaven" to sound like a serious lullabye. And ironically, "Video Killed The Radio Star" sounds a bit like the end of the album version of the original song (those familiar with that version will get that). Anyway, this compilation is mellow enough to get your young ones to drift off into a peaceful slumber, while at the same time putting a smile on the face of anyone from my generation (X). And subconciously indoctrinating our kids with 80s music is definitely not a bad thing. We'll have a little something to surprise our kids with when they get a little older - good thing I still have all of my vinyl from the 80s!
