Book Description

A compelling, fast-moving contemporary thriller: In Albany, New York, the governor's infant daughter disappears without a trace from her crib at the Executive Mansion. Hours later, newly divorced and down-and-out writer Jamie Carter is abducted from the streets of Manhattan. Jamie is whisked upstate, where she is forced by her captor, Don Bailino, an ex-war hero/successful businessman, to care for the kidnapped child in a plot to delay the execution of mobster Gino Cataldi - the sixth man to be put to death in six years by hardliner Governor Phillip Grand. What prevails is a modern-day thriller about family ties, loyalty, murder, betrayal, and love that's told in deftly interweaving narratives that follow the police investigation of the missing Baby Grand, the bad guys who took her, and the woman who found the strength to protect her.

5.0 out of 5 stars Put this one on your list... May 25, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
As an avid thriller reader, it takes a lot to impress me. Many books are riddled with bad writing, uninteresting characters and predictable plots. Not this one! I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of BABY GRAND and it did not disappoint. With real characters and interwoven plots, I was hooked from page one. Dina Santorelli knows how to tell a story and I can't wait to read more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Auspicious Debut December 6, 2012

Format:Kindle Edition
Writing a well crafted thriller is not for amateurs, and Dina Santorelli ably demonstrates that she's done the reseaarch and is well on her way to mastering the art form. Santorelli deftly interweaves plot, action and character introspection, giving her main characters palpable, believable inner lives and motivations. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing read! November 11, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book took me completely by surprise. I was pulled in immediately and read until my eyes hurt!

The suspense that was wrapped around the center story of this book, made your mind go to places that you never thought you would. It turned everything upside down! I loved the wrong people, was mad at the wrong time and just plain needed therapy after I was done reading. Seriously.. after I was done and could step away from the story.. I actually thought "What is wrong with me?"

Dina's writing style is the right combo of detail and dialog and moves the story at a perfect pace.

I gave this book 5 stars! Not only is Dina an amazing writer, but she is also awesome to her fans, and I am definitely one! I may have to venture away from my comfort zone if there are books out there like this.. but now I will be looking for books the same quality as Baby Grand.. and I am sure that will not be easy!
