5.0 out of 5 stars Love the city mini bassinet
We loved using the city mini bassinet for our baby and got so much use out of it. We started using it as soon as we got home from the hospital, and took her for many walks in it. It is padded with foam and our baby slept very comfortably in there during walks. It easily disconnects from the stroller base, and is not too heavy. I used bassinet sheets to line it, they fit...

3.0 out of 5 stars overpriced
this is a nice bassinet, but a little overpriced for what it is. i wish it came with a handle as well, in order to carry it from place to place. You need to use both hands to transport the bassinet around, and it is a little bulky and awkward. The sunshade is a little difficult to use. Also must use 2 hands to open or close the sunshade. both sides MUST click in place...

5.0 out of 5 stars Love the city mini bassinet, December 13, 2010
This review is from: Baby Jogger Bassinet, Black (Baby Product)
We loved using the city mini bassinet for our baby and got so much use out of it. We started using it as soon as we got home from the hospital, and took her for many walks in it. It is padded with foam and our baby slept very comfortably in there during walks. It easily disconnects from the stroller base, and is not too heavy. I used bassinet sheets to line it, they fit perfectly and made it easy to clean. The mosquito net that it comes with was also excellent for blocking out sun and anything from blowing into the bassinet. We used it until she was about 3 1/2 months old...because she was so tall and grew out of it. I would have kept using it otherwise.

The only issues I had with the city mini bassinet are 1. the price--however, we were lucky enough to find a gently used one on craigslist that was in perfect condition, for half the price....I definitely recommend doing this. and 2. The hood is sometimes a little tricky to put down because you have to press both buttons down simultaneously...while also pushing down the canopy, which is hard to do....I figured out a system that worked, so it wasn't a big deal.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Accessory for the Baby Jogger series, February 22, 2010

We bought this Bassinet for our 4-week old (now) son to use as a rear-facing option with the Baby Jogger City Classic (discontinued) and are, so far, mostly delighted with it. The brackets install easily onto the frame of the stroller, connecting and removing it is a snap, and the canopy and bug shields are quite easy to use. Our son has riden comfortably (or slept through) long and fairly bumpy gravel trail and urban sidewalk strolls during the past few early spring days. The padding and overall construction are of very high quality. Both my wife (5'5'') and I (6'1") can easily maintain eye/face contact with him, so I would say it works for parents of a range of heights.

A few small downsides: One awkward feature is that raising the canopy requires pushing two stiff buttons on opposite sides of the bassinet at the same time, and is difficult. Another is the very stiff and poorly placed snaps to remove the cover (and insert baby). The assembly instructions included with the item are nothing special-- a bit confusing in their brevity. Also, you will need to remove most of the stroller's canvas parts to make the best use of this, which is pretty easy, but Baby Jogger should include clearer instructions. So, while we are very very happy with the product, it doesn't quite reach 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth It, February 2, 2011

I held off on buying this because of the price but wish I would have bought it sooner. It fits the city mini perfectly and it comes with the car seat adapter too. My baby really relaxes and takes nice naps while we walk.

4.0 out of 5 stars A must for new born, April 16, 2012

This review is from: Baby Jogger Bassinet, Black (Baby Product)
In my opinion a bassinet is a must with new borns.
It is healthier for them to sleep on a flat and hard surface then staying long periods of times in the car seat.
In that aspect this product is great for the first couple of months, depends on the size of your baby.
My issues are with the usability, the cover is very unconvinient to open and close, you have to push on both sides.
The other thing is the attachemnt to the stroller adapter itself, Babyjogger could do a better job, it can get stuck, and its not smooth the attachement and disattachemnt operation.
They also have the pram which might be better, but i have not tried it.
But in any case, i reccomend some kind of bassinet to any new born.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE THIS!, January 4, 2012

I love this pram! I love the old fashioned style to it. Baby Jogger is a phenomenal stroller and I was so glad to find they had this pram and car seat attachment so this stroller could be the one stroller I use for my son. Its excellent quality and soft. Comes with a bug net and cover. Is very easy to use and place on and off the stroller. I received countless compliments on how beautiful and amazing my stroller is when using the pram. The car seat attachment bar is invaluable. I'm very glad I purchased this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cheap mechanics, otherwise good., December 29, 2011

This review is from: Baby Jogger Bassinet, Black (Baby Product)
The only complaints I have with this bassinet is the way it attaches to the Baby Jogger F.I.T and how the canopy operates. The mechanism that locks this into the stroller has a very flimsy feel to it. As a result, the bassinet sometimes gets stuck and it is often impossible to safely detach it from the stroller with the baby in the bassinet.

To lower the canopy, you need three hands. You have to simultaneously press buttons on both sides and operate the canopy support bar with your third hand. The covers are surprisingly versatile, though. Our baby loved to ride in this on her tummy looking forward. The canopy can be opened from the back to enable this. The pockets in the lining of the bassinet are very convenient for storing all the little things you need with babies.

3.0 out of 5 stars overpriced, November 2, 2011

Also must use 2 hands to open or close the sunshade. both sides MUST click in place in order to do so... in retrospect, i wish i would've bought the compact version, which seems to have the handle for easy transport and is priced a little better. to make matters worse, my 7 week old baby will NOT stay in the bassinet, and i don't know why....

5.0 out of 5 stars Baby Jogger Bassinet, July 10, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The Baby Jogger Bassinet looks as though it is very comfortable for the baby, although our baby hasn't been born yet.
The bottom seems to be very good quality, and cofortable for the baby.
The instructions on how to attatch it to the stroller aren't clear, and should be improved.
The overall quality seems to be very good, as the price.
