4.0 out of 5 stars Great errand stroller

I have this stroller and use it for a 2 month old and a toddler. I debated for a long time between this and a Maclaren twin Triumph for my second stroller, and I am glad that I picked this stroller, although it does have a few drawbacks. The fold is fantastic, literally the easiest stroller to fold and unfold that I have ever seen. This is important when you are running errands and want to get the kids in and out quickly. Also, the fold is small. While it is full width folded, it is only 9 inches deep so you can put it upright in the back of a suv or van and still have lots of space for grocery bags. It does not fit that great into our sedan trunk, though, because it is a little too tall to put upright. I would go with a Maclaren if I primarily drove a sedan because the fold is longer but less wide. The other negatives are the weight -- while it is the same weight as the Maclaren (supposedly) it definitely is more awkward to maneuver when folded. It feels HEAVY to me. Also, while it pushes like a dream on flat surfaces, it cannot handle uneven terrain at all. If you are buying your primary stroller for parks, trails, etc., then I'd go with a more heavy-duty model. Finally, the recline is quite slight. Therefore, if you are putting in a newborn like I am, you need some kind of additional body support to prevent slump(I used the JJ Cole one). This would be an issue in most umbrellas like Mac Triumph too, so it didn't affect my decision. All in all, this stroller is perfect for my needs, but depending on what you need it may not be right for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Stroller, January 12, 2010

This is overall a great stroller. I researched many double strollers, and am glad I chose this one. I love the Kiwi color. It gets many looks and comments, partly because my newborn is propped up for all to see.

pros:
-folds easy and folds pretty flat
-great maneuverability, turns on a dime (way better than my single Peg Perego)
-can fit easily through any door
-holds both my almost 3 year old and 6 1/2 lb newborn (I did get a Kiddapotumus support for my newborn)
-my 3 year old likes to sit next to his brother

cons:
-doesn't recline much. Support is definitely needed for a newborn.
-accessories are a little pricey. It could be another $200 with the belly bar, carseat adapter, child trays...
-storage under the stroller isn't very big

4.0 out of 5 stars Great double stroller - all we expected and more, October 11, 2009

We looked everywhere for a stroller that would fit our needs; we have two kids 15 months apart. The side-by-side seemed more maneuverable than the tandem models, and after seeing some at the stores, it felt like the side-by-side would make talking to the kids much easier. Having used the stroller for a month or so, we couldn't be happier. This stroller folds down more easily than our single did, and is really light. The width is perfect: fits through doors and turn-styles (another inch or two wider, and it wouldn't). Our only change would be easier access to the storage netting beneath the seats.

Great option, and better value than the more expensive strollers.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love my Micro!, June 9, 2010
After purchasing a sit and stand and being disappointed I looked for a side by side. I decided on the City Mini or the City Micro and when seeing the differences in price and options I decided on the Micro. (FYI: I purchased the Red from another site for $199) I do have to say that the car seat adapter is a big disappointment. Even though I saw other people say they did not like it I bought it anyway and wish I hadn't. The car seat is basically suspended above the stroller and even though I knew it was secure it looked so wobbly and shook every time my 2 year old moved. I have now place my 4 month old straight in the stroller and am so much happier with it. I also knew when I bought the stroller that the under basket was worthless, but the stroller does have large netted compartments behind each seat. I put the items I have to get to often there and haven't had a problem. Like another person said the reclining option is minimal but I use the Kiddopatamus insert for my 4 month old and she is satisfied (falls asleep no problem). My 2 year old does not stroller sleep anymore so it is not an issue. I love how it turns and how easily it folds. It is so thin I can put in flat in the trunk of my Jetta and have almost the entire trunk space for groceries. It nearly disappears. The canopy seems large to me but I haven't known anything different. I know that the Mini has a larger canopy, but in my case it wasn't worth another $200 for a larger canopy, more reclining features, and more cushion. The Mini and the Micro are built on the same framework and are very similar. If cost is a factor I would say pick this one and you will not be disappointed.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice maneuverability but a couple major design fails, September 22, 2010

Let me start off by saying that we love the way this stroller rolls and turns and fits just about anywhere a single stroller will go. However, there are a couple of design flaws that are pretty remedial and drive me absolutely crazy. First is the fact that this stroller does not have a latch to hold it together when it is closed. I don't know how they overlooked this one - even the $20 umbrella stroller that we have came with a little plastic latch to hold it closed when it is folded up. We had to go buy a bungee chord to wrap around it so it wouldn't open up when we had to transport it. Second are the 4 snaps that have to be undone underneath before you can fold it up. There had to be a better way to design that. Snapping them back on can be a pain as well. Overall, it's a nice stroller aside of some really poor designing. Oh, and the accessories are a bit on the pricey side as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty nice stroller, August 8, 2010

This review is from: Baby Jogger City Micro Double Stroller - Ocean (Baby Product)
Pros:
LOVE the color and it is easy to fold and fits in my Camry.
My 2 1/2 year old loves it with the snack tray add-on.
Cons:
Does not stay in folded position so I will need to make something to strap it in the closed position.
Also, the seatbelt does not secure small babies well. It would help if there were a clip to make the straps more secure across the baby's chest. It says for 6 months and up but I think that it would be safer for bigger babies (12 mos+)

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Double Stroller, May 4, 2010
This is the perfect double stroller. I have a just-turned-2 year old and an 8 month old. The fold on this stroller is amazing. It's not too heavy to get in the car. My 2 year old loves to sit in it - she now begs to go for walks! The sun shade is pretty good. The recline, as others have noted is slight, but enough for my kids who aren't really stroller sleepers. I've taken it on the street and on a dirt road, and it performed well in both situations. It steers like a dream!

It is tough to get to the basket, so I don't keep much down there.

5.0 out of 5 stars incredibly compact stroller, June 6, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have a little trunk in my bmw series1, and my twin peg-perego duette sw could never fit in there, although it is a good pram, and I like it a lot. I had to install a box on my roof and always needed somebody to help me to place the chassis in the box. So I started searching for a stroller, that would fit my tiny trunk. There are lots of small stollers, but they are either too long or wide when folded.
I finally found Baby Jogger one, measured my trunk to make sure it fits- perfect. The problem was ordering this stroller, as there are no Baby Joggers in France, and it is too expensie to order from GB. So I had to order from US and pay for the delivery as much, as was the price of a stroller.
But I am 100% satisfied with it. It is light, folds very quickly and compact, good ventilation. Yes, I agree with other comments- the stoorage area is a bit too little, but there are net pockets on the back, so I use them for the bottles and other things. And as it is micro- you cannot put the babies in a horizontal position, what you can do in mini version.
I was also afraid that the wheels can be too small and get stuck on some surfaces, compared to my peg-perego huge wheels...but no, they drive very well.
It was a very good purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Double Stroller!, July 1, 2010
This stroller is wonderful! I was debating between this and the double city micro. The difference between the two is that the seats on the micros do not fully recline, they do not have padding on the safety harness, and it has smaller wheels. It steers great, it's super easy to fold, it's light weight, and my 2 year old and 4 month old love it! Why pay an extra $100 when you don't have to!!! It's great for walking on sidewalks, in the mall, and at parks. I highly recommend this one!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not great, May 22, 2010

I have this stroller in ocean color. It gets dirty very fast and is very hard to clean. When the kids are in the stroller there is no way of reaching the basket under the seats. It folds very nicely and fits into any car trunk.
