We bought the City Micro so that we didn't have to take our over-sized Bob on a trip to Europe. Had high hopes, as the original Citi Mini was a close contender in the first stroller purchase (when we still had aspirations of not becoming a 3-stroller family). In so many ways this is an awesome little stroller, and a great complement to the Bob, but there are a few oversights that means it comes up short of perfect. The good: brilliant one-handed easy folding and easier handling when folded than traditional umbrella strollers; easy steering; seems to be comfy for the babe; and as far as I can tell completely removable fabric that can be washed (but don't quote me on that). The bad: the base bar that is perfectly positioned to be kicked when you walk too close, i.e, with arms bent comfortably (this from the makers of the original jogger stroller! If I'd been able to really test run the Micro in the wild, this probably would have been a deal breaker); at 16lbs, is not exactly lightweight; insufficient sun shade (why, why?? I don't get this -it's a real need, and a common complaint of many strollers); a handle that is perfectly positioned for my tall husband, but too high for me, a short woman (5'1"). Admittedly I was wooed by the groovy apple green color and its overall good looks. And in many ways this stroller really rocks. Just not so much for me. So this will do for our trip, but I expect to sell it on Craig's list when we get back. Too bad ... it was really close.

Being a stroller junkie, this was to be my last stroller purchase. After our Plinko lite tore in the seat and wouldn't fold completely anymore from years of use and impatient airline staff handling, I was on the hunt for one last stroller to fit our needs. Our 33 pound 4 year old still tires after all day walking events like Disneyland or Legoland and Daddy can only carry her on his shoulder for so long. We had rented the strollers at Disneyland and liked them...Baby Jogger.. so I thought I'd check them out. I couldn't justify spending a lot on a stroller for a preschooler who will use it probably only another year or so, so went with the micro. We've taken it to Disneyland (via plane) so far, and it has saved the day with the nieces and nephews at other times. We stayed at a hotel across from Disney and our 4 year old stayed comfy and happy as we trekked for 5 days. We even could push our 7 year old (50 lbs) when he pooped out once on the walk back to the hotel. The steering is great, fold is ingenious, and is very portable. Yes, the storage net is small and the shade isn't huge. After owning Graco, Britax, Plinko, and others umbrellas, this stroller gets high marks in steering and folding. It's not the lightest, but because it folds so slim, it makes toting it around a breeze.

This is a great light stroller. We have 2 full size joggers that are heavy and hard to get in vehicles, but are obviously good for jogging and rough terrain. This one is great for walking, malls, basically an everyday stroller. It folds easy...I can fold it one handed while holding our 35# two year old on my hip. He loves it. He can get in and out of it all on his own. It does not have a full recline, but believe me it reclines enough for a 1yr old and up. We added the child's tray which is a great purchase. It pushes with ease. For the price I think this is a great find!

great stroller for the price, some drawbacks though...,

I am pretty satisfied with this stroller. It is lightweight, has a true one-handed fold and folds down to practically nothing, has a nice handle height, and turns on a dime. Moreover, my little one seems very comfy riding in it. This stroller does have some drawbacks, however. The shoulder straps are not height adjustable, and they rub my daughter's face (she is a petite 16 mo. old). The seat does not recline very far, so it is not really suitable for infants. The stroller has an umbrella-style seat (no padding). It does not come with cup holder or toddler tray, but they can be purchased separately. Lastly, the canopy is pretty useless. My daughter likes to sit up straight in the stroller, and we have to be facing away from the sun for her to be protected. Because of these issues, I considered returning the micro and purchasing the mini instead (full recline, HUGE canopy...). After comparing the two side-by-side, I just could not justify the additional expense for the mini and decided to address some of the micro's problems myself. Here are some modifications that worked very well for my daughter and I.-I rethreaded the shoulder straps to make a 3 point harness (lap belt). My daughter seems much happier with this arrangement because she is not restrained in a semi-reclined position and can actually sit up straight. Because I lost the shoulder straps, I purchased the belly bar for additional security (definitely a worthwhile add-on!) -I made a cushion for the back of the stroller, and it ties on the loops meant for the shoulder straps. This makes the reclined position a bit more cushy. Also, it comes right off for cleaning/travel. Because the seat fabric faces out when folded, I don't actually have to remove the cushion to close the stroller all the way. -I am planning to make a canopy extension that I will permanently attach to the existing canopy. I considered buying a rayshade, but did not like that you need to take it off to fold the stroller (quite a hassle). I haven't decided quite how to approach this, but I think I will use a piece of thick/stiff canvas that I can tuck under the canopy when not needed. All in all (especially with a few quick/easy/inexpensive changes) this stroller is a great fit for us, and I think it is a great value for the money. However, if you just can't live without the full recline/large canopy and don't want to make changes yourself (keep in mind this may void the warranty!) go ahead and check out the mini. Hope this helps!

Great for travelling!!!,

This City Micro (not Mini) is the bomb! I travel abroad with my 1 year old completely on my own at least 3X a year.Love it because: 1- At airport security check points I can have my carryon on my shoulder, baby in my arms and I can fold the City Micro with my free hand! I can do it all by myself and still manage to put it on top of the conveyor belt (by the way it fits perfectly into the X-ray box). 2- It rides surprisingly smooth! The swivel wheels make it an easy ride. 3- Love the storage net. I can have a few toys, a blanket and a babybjorn inside the basket and still be able to fold it flat! Only reason I dislike it: 1- The sit doesnt recline much. It makes it a bit unconfortable for baby to nap. Works great for travelling and for older babies (7 months +) Otherwise might be unconfortable for tiny ones.

This is my second umbrella stroller. My first was an Inglesina trip. I loved it at first, but then the front wheel inexplicably stopped moving and it became impossible to steer. I needed a stroller for quick jaunts in and out of stores, the gym and the occasional day trip to Sesame. I wanted an adequate basket, a handle bar that I could sling my gym bag on, a canopy that would provide sufficient shade and at least a partial recline. It needed to be compact enough to store in the car, it had to be easy to steer and easy to fold and I wanted to pay less than $150. I feel I hit the jackpot with this.No more struggling to steer while I'm also shepherding a five-year-old through the parking lot. It really is exceptionally easy to steer. It turns on a dime. No more struggling to collapse the stroller in dark parking lots. The quick fold is a dream. My son is comfortable and happy. The canopy is not as big as it was on the Inglesina trip, but it certainly covers enough, and my son likes to wear hats and sunglasses anyway. Also, it does not have the full recline like the Trip, but neither of my sons liked being in the full recline position anyway. Oh, and another thing, it is incredibly easy to put together. I'm talking under five minutes! I'm thrilled with this choice and only wish I had bought this stroller in the first place.

I bought the Baby Jogger City Micro in slate to use as my car/travel stroller for my 20 month old 29# 36" tall toddler. I used it at the airport last week twice & it was wonderful! Easy to fold & pop the wheels off for going through the x-ray machine @ security checkpoint & folded quickly when we go to the end of the jetway for gate checking. Steers great one handed and isn't tippy. I was able to hang my diaper bag off the handle using Mommy hooks (look @ Lowe's for unbranded carbiners that are several dollars cheaper). The harness is not the most structured but my toddler doesn't seem to mind. This is definitely a toddler & up stroller with minimal recline. It has a higher seatback than most strollers out there and my little guy seems to love it. The day I got it, I set it up in a separate room & when I brought him downstairs after his nap, he wandered into that room & I found him sitting in the stroller with the cutest look on his face like he was really getting away with something. The handle bar is high & has a steep curve to it - I am 5'8" and think it is great - a shorter person may not agree. I took it to Butterfly World in Coconut Creek, FL & to Fashion Square in Pompano Beach, FL & loved the way it handled. I even took it over some grass & it glided. I have a Valco trimode AT stroller for walks around home & park and think the City Micro is a nice complement to this larger stroller for keeping in the car and for traveling.Edited to add: I have now had this stroller for 9 months - still love it! I found out that the 8" front wheel from the City Mini fits this stroller & I ordered it from Baby Jogger for $15 - it makes this stroller AWESOME! I will never load my AT stroller in my car again!

Great second stroller,

We usually use an Uppababy Vista stroller with our 19-month-old daughter, as we have since birth. The Baby Jogger City Micro is a terrific second stroller. It does not have a large cargo basket or a lot of bells and whistles, but it is light, sturdy, folds in one very easy motion, and is easy to push with one hand. It was fully assembled upon delivery, except that the three wheels needed to be snapped into place. No tools required. The brake is in a very comfortable location. As other reviewers have mentioned, the harness straps are a little lacking in comfort and (in my opinion) are not ideal for a newborn, but they are fine for a toddler. My daughter likes how upright the seat is (unlike our uppa baby, which is an earlier generation and does not sit fully upright -- the new one does). The seat also reclines and has a generous canope, so if your child is the type who naps in the stroller (mine isn't), this should work. I got it in Ocean and it is as attractive as pictured. I have seen this stroller as low as $99, but do not regret paying $129. Good quality.Edited to add: I am still pleased with this stroller after 2 months of use, but I must comment that it does not hop curbs very well. More than once I have banged my shin into the bar when the stroller has stopped and I've kept going. Still, I give it 5 stars for being what it advertises itself to be -- a small, easily foldable stroller.

This is an excellent compliment to our Easywalker Sky. The steering is amazing on this stroller, the overall design is excellent for taller parents and you cannot beat the fold. The stroller is a little heavier than a traditional umbrella stroller; however I still don't consider it bulky/heavy. While the basket is not easily accessible from the back, it is plenty big and you can easily access it from the side. I would highly recommend this stroller for an older baby (say 7-8mo+) and am not at all bothered by the lack of "creature comforts." The sun shade is much bigger than it appears in photos but not as big as the City Mini. Frankly I think my son would go crazy with the huge shade on the City Mini as it would obstruct his view. The seat back is very tall, allowing for a lot of room for your child to grow into this stroller. All in all I think you can't beat it for the price.

We LOVE our Baby Jogger City Micro Single! The kiwi print looks so nice, My 1 year old loves to ride in it and it seems really comfortable! It is unbelievably easy to fold! I have had strollers where you have to push this and pull here, this folds with one easy pull. Steering is great, everything about this stroller is so much more wonderful than I could have imagined. Umbrella is also a great size.
