5.0 out of 5 stars The best jogging stroller on the market!
This stroller is it - look no further! If you are a serious runner, or plan to run more than 2-3 miles at a time, the Baby Jogger High Performance is what you want. We tried out the competition before purchasing this (a friend's BOB strollers, both the swivel and the fixed wheel) - don't even waste your money on a swivel wheel if you plan on running with it. 1.0 out of 5 stars All three tires burst when inflated
I bought this new about a month ago on Amazon. All three of the tire tubes burst immediately when I inflated them to the pressure printed on the side of the tube. It cost me over $50 to have a bike shop fix them. My bicycle mechanic said that the lack of rim tape may explain the problem.
Babyjogger's customer service was polite enough when I called, but they...

We have the Baby Jogger Summit (which also has a swivel wheel) and for some reason, when you get moving at a good pace, the swivel wheels (both BOB and Baby Jogger) just don't handle as well as I'd like and I get a little nervous that it's going to tump over or something (or I'm going to roll an ankle compensating for it).
Anyway, the BOB Ironman (the other one we tested) was probably the most comparable, but after using both, the Baby Jogger is hands down the winner. The BOB seems to sit taller, which I think raises the center of gravity and contributes to a less secure feel while moving, especially if you run on semi-curved running trails like I do (they are paved though, neither would do well off-road). The Baby Jogger Performance is low and long, which makes it feel sturdier than anything else I've tried. This is great for running, not so great for storage. Luckily we have some open space downstairs that we just leave it ready to go, but I can see the criticism for not being compact in the storage department. You'd really have to take the wheels and everything off of it to get it into a closet or something, which isn't hard to do, just a bit of a pain if it's something you would have to do on a daily basis.
The wheels on the Baby Jogger High Performance are 20 inches, compared to 16 on the BOB, which is a HUGE difference. The rolling resistance on this is almost nothing, as I am nearly as fast with the stroller as I am without it - I did not have the same experience with the BOB. The first time I took it out, I planned on a 4 mile test, but after 3 miles with it and how great I felt with it, I just bumped it up to 8 and had no problems at all. Also, maybe some of the earlier models had some confusing air pressure guidelines for the the tires, but the model I received had clearly marked (Do not inflate over 50 psi) on each rim where the inflation stem was (even though the tires do state they can handle 100 psi). Simple word of advice, always go with what is on the rim (if there is anything) or the owners manual for that matter, not what is printed on the tire. Given what the previous reviewers had posted regarding the rims/tires, I bought some higher quality rim tape (velox) at my local bike shop before I received the stroller to replace whatever was on there and to avoid any unnecessary flats. Honestly, had I received the stroller first, I wouldn't have bought the other stuff, as the factory tape wasn't that bad, but I had already removed the tires and it was just too easy to replace and enjoy the peace of mind knowing that I was overprotected. Now I just check the pressure and top off if needed right before going on a run (same thing you should do on a bike).
OK, I've rambled on enough and provided the information I would have been interested in when I was purchasing. As far as other things go, the materials seem durable and well constructed - no gaps or bunches anywhere. A bonus that I didn't read about anywhere is the reflective tape on the seams - although I try not to run at night, it's a plus knowing that folks will see you. The handgrip is a durable rubber versus a cheap piece of foam that will rip and deteriorate. The fit and finish seem precise. My only complaint would be the caliper brake on the front wheel - it works great, but I've seen much more user friendly designs.
As I stated before, if you are truly looking for a jogging stroller, don't go any further - buy the Baby Jogger High Performance!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great light weight stroller, May 29, 2011

This is a great light weight stroller for running, once I was able to get a tire issue resolved. It is imperative that the tires be inflated to the recommended 20psi. The rim says one thing and the tire says another. Believe the rim or the tube will burst. According to the bike shop owner I took it to, the reason it bursts so easily is that the liner between the tube and rim is not the highest quality. Baby Jogger was great at reimbursing for the tubes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Jogger on the market!, May 12, 2011
This review is from: Baby Jogger High Performance Jogging Stroller, Ice (Baby Product)
This is without a doubt the best stroller made today. The 20' wheels make it roll so easily that it almost pushes itself. If folds very flat hover it would be nice if it was a little shorter when folded. I did get a flat but it only cost $3 and 5 min to fix. The previous reviewer got ripped off by their bike shop!

Babyjogger's customer service was polite enough when I called, but they haven't responded to my letter suggesting that they reimburse me for the new tubes, or at least send me a new set of tubes for future use.
Regretfully, I must strongly recommend that others not buy this product.
