Fantastic!!!,

Smartypants is just a wonderful video. We've been watching it over the course of 6 months, and both of my toddlers, ages 9 months and 2 years love it equally. There are a lot of interactive sequences. The introduction to the parts of the face is a favorite. There is plenty of language on this video, and a wide array of musical styles. Usually, videos that have a lot of language haven't held the attention of Carla, my nine month old, but this one does. My two year old loves the seasons, and participates with the counting section. We particularly appreciate the section on the elements, as it introduces them in a manner which is both captivating and educational. We also enjoy the colors and rhymes section, as the rhymes are as playful as the scenes. Each color is represented by a food, an animal and an article of clothing. The goodbye section at the end of the video, and the constant encouragement of the puppet are great for our childrens self esteem and social skills. Thank you to Produced With Love for putting out a series that is not aimed at selling more products, but at inspiring our children.

Baby Know-It-All: Finally, a novel new idea in baby videos!,

As a grandmother who watches videos with my three grandkids, I was delighted to find a video that delights all of them. My 10 month old can point to the parts of his face and body now, the 2 year old has learned his counting, shapes, colors, etc., and the 4 year old can recite all the rhymes. The kids ask for the Baby Know-It-All videos more than all the rest we have. Smarty Pants (Part 1) is really making smarty pants of them all!The children really like seeing the kids in the video. They sometimes comment that they are doing things "just like me!" And they love Natasha! It's so great to finally find a video that captivates all three of them! Another thing that I really like...they explain what the "seasons" are. So, when I tell the kids that it is "summer" or "winter", they are beginning to understand what I'm talking about. They even have the four elements in a manner that little ones can relate to. I recommend this video, and it's companion, Lil Bloomers, to all the grammas and moms with young soon-to-be know-it-alls!

COMMUNICATION BOOSTER FOR BABIES!!,

My two youngest children are both learning so much from Smartypants. I watch too, but thanks to a great production, I don't need to constantly narrate, a welcome change. This video taught our 10 month old daughter ... very simple activities in the 3 months that we've had it, and through daily repetition, we have steadily increased her general awareness, tenfold! ... Our 3 year old ... is definiely improving his language skills and processing concepts. The video invites interaction throughout, and there are enough questions and movement to keep [him] interacting.. The narration varies in degree of complexity from one word to a few sentences that correspond to the image on screen. [His] vocabulary has remarkably increased, and he practices the rhymes in the color section and in each Season. He has already mastered the scenes that are labeled with single words. This video's focus' is on helping babies learn many new things. Very well rounded musically, it includes the best classical pieces with stuff we grew up on, like "The Entertainer". In all its' simplicity, this video deserves the 2002 Top Awards for most Outstanding and Educational New Release for babies. The only pitfall--it's not yet on DVD, so keep your VCR's handy!

As the owner of a Day Care Center, I give Smarty Pants three thumbs up. The main themes are counting, colors and seasons, but there is plenty of other topics for youngsters to learn about. The video starts off with toddlers pointing to different parts of their face, and then goes into a quick little one minute scene that very simply conceptualizes spring. This is done with all of the seasons. There is a large section on colors. Each color is represented by a food, an article of clothing, and an animal. There is more classical music in this video than in Lil' Bloomer, but again, the choices are upbeat, and mixed with other musical styles very well. All in all, this simple video is packed full of many entertaining moments, enhances children's social skills and introduces a whole host of basics for babies to discover and show off!

Good video for toddlers eager to learn,

I bought this video for my now 19 month old daughter. She has been watching it for almost a month, and while it is not her absolute favorite (she like animals so Lil' Bloomer by the same company gets veiwed more often)she seems to enjoy it. By 'enjoy' I mean that she will respond to the images by pointing and naming and she really seems to like the other children doing things she recognizes. My only complaint is that the children are not on microphone so the sound quality is not what it should be. You hear the same ambient room noise you get on a home video recorder and some of the children's voices are just not as clear as others. Other than that, it's a fun and educational video.

As a new mom to 9 month old Teresa, and an pre-school teacher, I was excited to find a video that actually explored concepts in a simple and effective manner. I know Teresa doesn't yet understand some of the concepts that are introduced, but she is learning about them and the language immersion techniques applied is something that will help her figure them out soon enough. She loves the goodbye section, and we think that Natasha Henstridge has does the best narration of any videos we've seen. This video is kind of like a precursor to Sesame Street, except totally reality based.

Just love the attention paid to covering the concepts. The Baby Know-It-All videos cover so much, and my baby boy is constantly learning. He was imitating the children by 9 months old, and I recommend it to all. The fun even continues after the credits are done!

SUPER DUPER VID!,

This video is so great. I use it with both my toddlers, 1 1/2 years and 3 years old. They both have fun and learn alot. It concentrates on concepts and uses babies that help teach the whole range of basics. It is simply one of the best values I've found and well worth the price, and its fun for us parents too!If you are sick of classical only, then try this-- If you are interested in your baby being entertained with helpful subjects, then you will like it as much as we all do.

A BOX OF BRAINFOOD!!,
This review is from: Baby Know-It-All Smartypants [VHS] (VHS Tape)
No kidding! This video covers so many topics!! Its' very brightly colored backgrounds set a simple stage for a huge learning experience. My daughter and my nephew just never get bored with it, they both want to watch again, and again. Every time we watch it, they learn something new. The group of kids in the video are priceless, and my daughter, who can now count well (thanks to this video), is such a "Know It All", Very entertaining!!! The best [$$$] bucks I've spent this year!
