Good concept, poor design,
I thought this was a great idea since I never seem to have enough light when clipping my (sleeping) baby's nails. Unfortunately, because of the way the clipper is fastened into the housing for the light, I am unable to see exactly where I am positioning the clipper on baby's nails. After several tries, I either missed the nail altogether or clipped skin.

GREAT PRODUCT,

I am a professional postpartum doula and one of the scariest things I have to do is clip the nails of newborns. I found this clipper at a client's house and after using it for her baby, went out and bought one to keep in my purse to clip the nails of the other tinies in my care. I don't understand the reviews of the ones who said the light didn't stay on, maybe they are not using it properly? Watch the video... A great product, wish I had invented it!

DON'T BUY THIS ONE,

I bought this clipper to replace a different one I had that I had lost. It is terrible. It is awkward to hold and the "safety" guard makes it almost impossible to see where to cut. I found the light unhelpful, as it disappears into the skin when trying to manipulate the clipper. I will go back to the other brand I was using. The light arcs over the top of the clipper, illuminating the whole finger and making clipping quick and easy. I am sorry I wasted my money on this product.

I thought this was a great idea and ordered one for myself and one for a friend as a gift. I can't use it. I find the safety feature prevents me from cutting ANY part of their nails. It's like I just can't get close enough. I find it frustrating and disappointing. The light is an excellent idea, though.

GREATEST PRODUCT,

We've used this clipper since it came out. It is such a great idea. Works great and the light always stays lit on mine. It's a GREAT shower gift and everyone who uses it LOVES it. It's easy to use and even slips in your purse and goes anywhere. I can't understand the other reviews. Check out the video on the home page....it tells you just how to use it!

Great Baby Nail Clippers,

We bought these clippers and use it to clip our daughters nails. The light works great and gives you that little extra edge you need when clipping such tiny fingernails.

I purchased this product based on the reviews in one parenting magazine. However, it just sits in the bottom drawer after several of my attempts to use it. I agree with all other reviewers: it is too cumbersome to use, the light won't stay on unless you hold the button down while you clip, and you can't see what you're clipping! I, too, clipped my baby's finger, and I've been using regular child clippers ever since. At least I can see exactly where I'm clipping! I would not recommend this product for anyone.

A great idea but I can't find a way to keep the light on without holding a button and that is difficult to do while trying to cut the baby's nails.

Good idea but bad design. This nail clipper is too cumbersome. It gets in the way so you can't "see what your doing" and I believe that's how I clipped my baby's finger tip. I just had twins and thought that I would try out this unique nail clipper. I have been using a regular baby's nail cipper for 3 years on my 3 year old son and have never cut the skin on his finger. I would not recommend this product.

The idea is great. However, the quality of the clipper itself is pretty bad, and it is a bit cumbersome to use. I got it for $[...]. The full price ($[...]) is just too expensive.
