About the Author

Karma Wilson's previous picture books include Bear Snores On, Bear Wants More, Bear Stays Up for Christmas, and Mortimer's Christmas Manger, all illustrated by Jane Chapman, One Day in the Middle of the Bog, illustrated by Joan Rankin, and Hilda Must Be Dancing and Bear Hugs illustrated by Suzanne Watts. Sam Williams is the author, illustrator, and designer of numerous picture books for young children. Some of the books he's lent his talent to include the Bunny and Bee series, Cold Little Duck, Duck, Duck by Lisa Westberg Peters, and Pea Pod Babies by Karen Baicker. He recently put down his paintbrushes and took up the challenge to climb Mount Blanc! Sam lives with his wife in Hertfordshire, England.

More About the Author

I'm a wife, mother of three, writer and photographer. I love to write fun stories, poems, songs, etc... I especially love to write in rhyme because I think that well written rhyme naturally teaches children to expand their vocabulary and love books and reading.

I spend my time in the wilds of northwest Montana, where there are lots of bears and animals like the ones in my bear books! I love the wilderness and all of the animals that live there. My husband and children are also avid lovers of the outdoors.

I am also an amateur photographer. Give me a camera and I'll spend hours snapping photos.

My daughter and I checked out this book from the library. She loves Baby Cakes, so we were hoping for another hit. This book has the same adorable illustrations as Baby Cakes, but the prose just doesn't have the same natural rhythm and beat. It's still very cute, but we just didn't connect to it as much as Baby Cakes.
