5.0 out of 5 stars Hilariously inappropriate May 11, 2006
Format:Board book|Amazon Verified Purchase
The "Baby Be of Use" series is completely hilarious, and makes an AWESOME inappropriate baby shower gift (for anyone with inappropriate-humor-loving, baby-having friends).

It's true, there are some people in this world who might not find it funny to imply that a baby should prepare your breakfast for you, or learn how to make Daddy a margarita (see _Baby, Mix Me a Drink_). You know who you are. If you snickered at all at this idea, you must purchase these books immediately.

The books are the same size and construction as all the other little board books cluttering up your house, so your child can chew them to pieces long before he/she ever figures out what the words mean. The words and illustrations are simple and large, which of course makes the whole thing even funnier.

Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars FABULOUS BABY SHOWER GIFT! November 26, 2009
Format:Board book|Amazon Verified Purchase
Drawn up to mimic itself as a baby book but the humor is all adult. This whole series is super creative, adorable, and will be the hit of the shower! All my friends could not get enough of these books and all requested where I purchased them so they could do so as well! Make sure you give them to a mother with a sense of humor though!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Postmodern Analysis of Affinal Responsibilities February 29, 2008
Format:Board book
In a sweeping break with traditional mores, Lisa Brown boldly unfeminizes the act of desiring breakfast preparation services to flow from infants' tiny paws. It is made real and lent a frightening shimmer when considered in the context of her oeuvre.

Her strident clarion will ring down the halls of history and she will be remembered as the liberator of breakfast: let the Baby do it. After all, they just lie there all day--they must be good for something.

Babies of the world look out! Lisa Brown is onto your game. You've had a party for too long--now it's time for a festivus for the rest of us. I loved it.
