Definitely worth it!!,

Jagged Edge is one of my favorite groups and due to their voices I tend to support whatever they come out with.Baby Making Project is just that a CD filled with ballads showcasing their voices to the fullest. I'm pleased with pretty much every song but my favorite is Can't Get Right but I love the fact that they tend to touch on all the subjects regarding love such as being in love, finding the right woman, losing the right woman etc. My only complaint, the album is way too short, for a group that has been in the game long enough, albums should not be this short. With only 11 tracks and 38 minutes, you are dissapointed that you don't get more songs and yearn to hear more.

Let's Get It On,
This review is from: Baby Makin' Project (Audio CD)
Jagged Edge debuted in 1997 with the very strong debut album A Jagged Era, they were a quartet of very talented singers in the same league like Dru Hill and Jodeci and with a quite similar sound mixing romantic slow jamz with more sexually driven pillow talk and from time to time some uptempo's aswell. They proved they were no sophmore slumps when their second album J.E. Heartbreak went double platinum in 2000 and songs like "He Can't Love You", "Promise" and "Let's Get Married" all reached top 20. Third album Jagged Little Thrill (not to be mistaken for Alanis Morisette's album Jagged Little Pill) had the megahit "Where The Party At" with Nelly that reached #3 and became their biggest hit to date in 2001, the song however was an uptempo and in the following years they would release several songs with rappers, but personally I think they are and were always suited better for slow jamz. Two more albums were released after this but apart from the song "Walked Outta Heaven" they both sold less then before and they weren't that good either. "Baby Makin Project" their 6th album is a way to come back to the spotlight again, cause they really don't have much to lose at this point. To my joy and perhaps others aswell, it's an concept album with only love songs. So, no uptempo's or Rap cameos here, the only guest is Ashanti on the first single "Put A Little Umph In It". After the reunion with Jermain Dupri on his So So Def Records he and his protegés produce most of the songs and while the production is on point there isn't really a major diffrent from previous albums. The diffrence is a more cohesive effort then in a while. Having said that, most songs melts into the album and many of them are very good with few stadouts like the regretful classic slow jam "Whole Town Laughing", midtempo piano song "Me That's Who" which is perhaps the best song. Retro sounding "I'll Be Damned", while "Sunrise" and "Turn U On" both have exciting sounds. The rest of the songs including "Put A Little Umph In It" are not bad either and I'm confident to say this is their best album since "Jagged Little Thrill". There are only 11 songs though and the first one is an intro but don't be scared cause of that cause there are plenty of pearls here. While Jodeci have disbanded and Dru Hill are somewhere lurking, Jagged Edge carries the tradition of talented R&B groups that really can sing and make wonderful slow jamz. Recommended if you liked their old albums.

If you like slow jams, you'll love this project. It's one of their best works. If you like the sounds of "gotta be", "promise", "let's get married", & "he can't love you", then you'll love this album. You know, I didn't like their last album except for 2 songs. However, This one is a real gem so don't sleep on it!

The Best R&B Group,

The talented men are back with a new cd; Baby Makin Project. Let me just say I have been a huge Jagged Edge fan since day one, and with this cd, they did not disappoint me. Every song on the cd showcases their talent, from vocals and the harmony these guys have is incredible. Now they have teamed back up with Jermaine Dupri, and those of us who have followed these guys know the chemistry they have is unstoppable. I honestly can not pick a favorite song, because I like them all, the only thing I would have liked is more songs then just eleven, but that is ok, as long as they continue to make music, I will be happy. The thing that stands out for me and what I love is the way they collaborated some of their old school joints in with the song, like the Intro, and Turn U On, to me that was brilliant. I also love the way the songs flow, from one to the other. It's such a shame this group does not get the recognition they deserve, because at the end of the day; this is the group that is still together, and their fan base is growing by the minute. So I say to this group; keep on doing the damn thang, because you are all that and then some! I love you guys and God Bless! One other thing, if you don't have their albums, go out and buy them! 1. Jagged Edge- A Jagged Era 2. Jagged Edge- J.E. Heartbreak 3. Jagged Edge- Jagged Little Thrill 4. Jagged Edge- Hard 5. Jagged Edge- Jagged Edge 6. Jagged Edge- Baby Makin Project

Overall a huge let down. I have every JE CD so I was going to get this one regardless. Maybe it just has to grow on me, but I'm not feeling the majority of the songs on this CD.

OMG I love this CD soooo much. I must admit that I was a bit skeptical about Jagged Edge's ability to do sexual songs. I felt that 112 was the best at that specific concept. However Jagged Edge does these sexual songs using their own style. 6 to 7 of the 10 songs are good baby makers. They dont pretend to be something they arent. Jagged Edge always come with the CD's that you can listen to from top to bottom without skipping. Just their voices alone make u wanna make a baby. I hate that they dont get as much play as they should. My favorite R&B group of all time!!! Worth the money. I wish it had more tracks though. Not enough to feed my Jagged Edge appetitie. Favorite song on CD Get This... It make you wanna get something. LOL. I also love Way To Say I Love You and Round And Round and Whole Town Laughing I'll Be Damned and Turn U On... THE WHOLE CD.

Well,Jagged Edge has pleased me again with they're smooth and sultry songs. I like this Project of 07', they worked it mentally and physically. When I first heard that Jagged Edge has a new release without even really hearing a single. I got prepared to purchase the Baby Makin' Project. Yes, to the Intro and the Ump and to the nine songs thereafter. Jagged keep doin' what you do.

I am a big fan of jagged edge. For that reason i got this album. I figured if anything there might be a few songs on the album i like. I was not amused when i found that there was not even one good song on the album. Jagged edge has so many good songs to their name, so i was extremely disappointed when i heard this album. I think the entire album was probably put together in a short period of time and they just hurriedly put it on the market just to get it out. Needless to say it is probably one of their worst albums yet. I do hope, and have no doubt that they will bounce back and come out with something good next time. In the meantime i would suggest steering clear of this album.

I BOUGHT 3 CD'S IN THE LAST WEEK. THIS IS THE ONLY ONE I HAVE BEEN LISTENING OVER AND OVER RIGHT FROM THE FIRST TIME I PLAYED IT. IT IS ALOT LIKE THERE FIRST CD. JUST 10 QUALITY AND NOT 20 TO 21 SONGS AND 10 OF THEM NOT WORTH LISTEINING TO. IM NOT GOING TO GIVE IT A 5 BECAUSE IM NOT GOING TO SAY EVERYSONG IS GREAT BUT THEY ARE PRETTY CLOSE TO IT. WELCOME BACK JAGGED EDGE. I WISH 112 COULD DO THE SAME THING
