This book is beautifully laid out, thoughtfully and tastefully written. It is a baby book which encourages thoughtful reflection and feeling far beyond simply pasting pictures and jotting down when baby did what. Of course it leaves plenty of room for pictures (as the author is also a photographer, with rich displays of her work throughout the book accompanied by touching quotes)and all the details of baby's firsts.
The book is durable and easy to flip through with its spiral binding. A great gift. All in all one of the lovliest baby books on the market!

I love this book. It is so beautiful and it never mentions daddy. There is so much room to write and the quotes are so sweet.

I received this book as a gift when I was pregnant...I do have a lot of good things to say about it. It has a very clear format and a lot of options. In my opinion there are a few too many pages in it...there are like 30 pages for ultrasounds and prenatal visits...I just didn't have that many things to say...You go and have an ultrasound and you start gaining weight..you can only write that down so many times!
The book does have many pages for thoughts from friends and spaces for pictures and ideas for the nursery as well as many pages for the baby shower. It's worth the money definitely! There are some pages in it as well for writing a letter for your child to read years down the road...i just love that idea!

I bought this baby book for my daughter who is soon to be a single mom. It was perfect! It encompasses all of the special moments during pregnancy, birth and baby's first year with no mention of "daddy". However, there are numerous pages for "special family and friends" to be included during this most important year. It was exactly what I was looking for at a great price!

This book did a fabulous job capturing everything that I wanted to document about my baby's first year. Everyone loves paging through this book of my dauhgters, and they are amazed at the contents that it holds. It is so easy to keep up with and makes for a very special gift to give to my daughter as she becomes an adult! Kudos to Tracey Clark for making two especially fabulous books for capturing Motherhood and all that it entails!
Only thing that I would love to see different is that she would create a first 5 or even ten years of a childs life, I wasn't ready to stop documenting my daughters life at one year!

I used this book for my first child and liked all the questions and pages it provided. After my second was born, I looked for another book similar in nature and never found one as good this this one. It definitely helps jumpstart your memory to write things down. On the negative side, the pages are very light weight, so attaching photos and other memorabilia is difficult. To solve this problem, I removed pages that I didn't use or glued pictures over those pages.

I ordered this book while I was in the final months of pregnancy. I should have bought it sooner. The layout is very simple and neat. There is also a lot of space to write down special moments and for journal keeping as well. The author also gives suggestions as to things you may want to write down in case you can't think of anything. But, hey isn't every moment in baby's first year special?

This book is okay but it gets to be repetitive. I felt they could have included a little bit more detailed questions to be answered but it's very basic. If you're little for a book with more dept, colors, humor, and something others will be inspired by when they read it than this isn't the book for you.

I love filling this out! It's packed full of my son's first year memories. And has plenty of space for entries, for important events, for day-to-day happenings and SO MUCH MORE.
Really a great book for the mother-to-be who loves writing/keeping memories.

I bought the book only to find it was not what I hoped. It will be great once the babies (twins) arrive but I was looking for more a journal that I could write to them in before the birth. I basically just found a plain journal and write to them each day. I had wanted something to chart grownth of my stomach, daily changes in me, food cravings, dr. appts, etc. Again ....this book is nice but is to be used after the birth.
