Gently introducing baby to the Genesis version of the story of how God created our world, this video fuses uplifting music and beautiful images to great effect.

Accompanying a backdrop of soothing instrumental music, a child's voice narrates the video's introduction. I've been around enough babies to know that they love "big kids", so the choice of a child narrator is sure to catch baby's attention. The video goes on to tell the biblical story of the beginning of our world. As in the Bible, the story is broken into seven "days". Each segment features a cute hand puppet and a bright illustration, focusing on what God created each day.

On the first day, God created Light. The DVD blends stunning images of light, introducing the world "light" in the corner of the screen for those wanting to introduce their children to whole language concepts early in life. The various forms of light presented fluctuate from fireworks to a flashing light bulb to a softly glowing candle, while a selection of instrumental music plays softly in the background.

Music plays a large part in these early childhood videos, and the selections presented in The Story of Creation should please both baby and parent. Songs range from time-tested classics to familiar bible songs to an adorable children's choir rendition of "Peace Like a River" during the Day 2 water segment.

The formula of images and music for each day continues, with some days featuring multiple items created. There is a certain element of repetition, but as I noted with my own children, this is not necessarily a negative. Babies and toddlers seem to enjoy seeing repeated images over and over again.

My own personal favorite "day" in the video is Day 5, featuring a broad array of images of birds and fish, underscoring God's true mastery and brilliance in the creation of our world. I do have to say that I found the images for Day 6, the day when God created animals and people, to be less interesting. I felt that there could have been a greater diversity of people presented, including broader age ranges and ethnic backgrounds.

Overall, I would strongly recommend The Story of Creation by Baby Miracle as a beautiful and stimulating tool to share with your baby. Bonus features on the disk include a "repeat video" feature, for Moms needing a longer shower or break than the video's 35 minute length, and a "flash card" feature blending still images of many of the items in the video with the correct spelling of each word. This might be of interest to Baby's older siblings who are experimenting with learning to read. The children and babies featured throughout this DVD are adorable evidence of the gifts God has given us though our children.

I have always looked for ways to teach my children about the Bible and Baby Miracle is just great. My baby watches Story of Creation, and especially loves the segments on flowers and fish. As a parent, I love that the video is educational and teaches my baby about different topics. The music is wonderful -- I actually dont mind hearing it in the background as my baby watches. There are some great Christian and classical songs. I highly recommend this video to anyone that wants to bring faith into their child's life in a very delicate and enlightening way.

I got this video because I read so much about it here on amazon.com. And then when I saw it I was really bummed out. My kids watched a few images and then lost interst right away!

We have the Babyfaith series (God Made Me) and my kids love that! It's awesome!

This Baby Miracle seemed like a wanna-be Baby Einstein without the quality or the creativity. Bummer! Perhaps the images would work better for older children. Very low quality. The presentation of the bible story is not very good at all either, despite their claims. My advice - try something else!

In reading lots of reviews for various baby videos, I am finding that people are committed to one or another brand based on what their child likes. We like God Made Me for the story of creation. Our baby did not like this video nor did I or my spouse. Too many stock footage shots and words. Very convoluted! It's for a baby so I'm not sure why the emphasis on spelling and details. KISS - Keep it Simple Stupid! The thing at the beginning with the space, planets and the like - way too out there for even me, let alone my baby. NEXT!

I bought this video second after the Baby Miracle Noah's Ark and my baby loves it even more than Noah's Ark. I was. It has gorgeous segments on light, nature, and animals with really fun music. What I really like about this video is that my baby is just overjoyed to hear classical music, children's songs, as well as a child's voice narrating the story. My baby also just loves seeing all the different kids playing in it. It's a nice addition to my collection of baby videos.

Story of Creation is absolutely terrific. I love the music - an exciting blend of Christian, traditional children's and classical. All of the segments fit together so well with bright colors and cute transitions. And it is all so unique - there just isn't anything else on the market that blends education and faith so well. I am Baby Miracle's biggest fan, and can't wait for more...

I found the Story of Creation a wonderful DVD to give as a gift to my friend's babies. The story was simple enough for them to understand, the images were beautiful and the music was calming (the children singing Peace Like a River during the water segment was really great!)

I was surpised that their attention was held for the length of the video -- normally, they get bored and start to get antsy.

If you are looking for a good baby video with a Christian theme, this video is terrific. I look forward to buying Noah's Ark.

IMHO....... this one is not even in the same ballpark as the "Baby Faith" series or the "Baby Einstein Videos"......

We buy these videos for our 2 yr. old Granddaughter and we watch them with her, and then we observe how she reacts to the video, as well as our own observations as to the quality and content of the video. This video didn't keep her attention for very long at all. And we could understand why..... There were parts that were OK, but most of it is very sub-par quality....

And unless the whole video is very good, the target audience for whom they are intended is not going to watch for very long...

Our Granddaughter will watch the "Baby Faith" Videos and the "Baby Einstein" videos over and over and over...... she didn't even make it 5 minutes through this one.... I was tuned out after the first 2 minutes....

For 1 1/2 to 2 yr olds, try Baby Faith's "God Made Me" & "God Made Babies"

This video captures my son's attention (6 months old).

But, I was disappointed because the pictures don't always match what the things were that they are talking about. For example, on the day that the animals were created, there are so many possibilities for pictures they could show. But, they only show a couple of animals. Instead, other objects are shown. Those objects capture a child's attention, I guess, but they sure are missing a learning opportunity. The creation story talks about animals being created on the sixth day, but yet that message is not portrayed visually.

I was really impressed with the Story of Creation video by Baby Miracle -- I think its their best video. My daughter absolutely loved it! Highlights include: Choir singing "Peace Like a River" and georgeous flower and fish segment. The video was upbeat and had many beautiful and colorful images. My daughter watches this video over and over. The Flashcard Bonus feature is good too, but she prefers the actual video.
