As a non-kid person myself, I was delighted to find a baby gift that would both amuse my new-parent friends and represent my own antisentimental view of the little buggers. Yes, this is silly; yes, it's short--it's a board book, after all. But it's sturdy, the illustrations are charming, and you really can mix a drink using the pictures. Have fun with it.

I *love*" Lisa Brown's other works so I bought this book sight unseen. It's not her best work. My recommendations (ranking #s) are: "Baby make me breakfast" (#1), "Baby fix my car" (#2) and "Baby do my banking" (#3). "Baby mix me a drink" is a distant fourth. Then again, it's still fun!

This "baby book" is meant to put a smile on mom's face, not meant to be taken so seriously and read to baby at story time. It is a great little gift for parents, especially those having their second or third child, when the initial stages of parenting are no longer so frightening and when they can really use a laugh.

This book is pure fun and great for folks with a quirky edgy sense of humor. The reviewer who gave the book one star because they said the description insinuated that the book had suggestions for activities...like what? How baby and parents can have playtime by making drinks together along with sugar cookie cutouts? This book is a joke book...purely fun and outrageous! A little coffee table book of fun for sure!

We were given this book as a gift, and it has kept on giving! Everyone who stops by gets a kick out of it. Thus, in my opinion, it's definitely worth purchasing. Oh, yeah. Cheers! And thanks, baby!

This book is fun, fun, fun! You have to have a sense of humor to enjoy it. When my kids know the difference, it will be put up onto the adults only book shelf but my one year old enjoys the pictures and I enjoy the thought of a yummy cocktail.

We received this as a gift from a friend. It was kind of a joke but my two year old son ended up loving it. He really likes the pictures and the idea that you can create something new by mixing things together. Very cute and funny, a great gift.

Had really low expectations for this book as it was to be a gag gift for someone fun having a baby- and even with my low expectations I was shocked at the quality to this price. If it wasn't for the $3.99 that will be deducted if I ship it back to them, it would be back in the mail to them today, but I'm just going to give it and cringe at the quality in hopes it still gets a laugh.

Don't get me wrong- the 'idea' of the book is excellent, just not at this price and needed a lot more to it.

It is literally "5" pages long with one side showing by pictures only what the ingredients would be to make each drink (margarita, bloody mary, old fashioned and champagne cocktail) No words other then "Daddy wants a margarita etc under the picture of the drink on the opposite side. Thought at least some sort of at least ingredient name, cute phrases etc could be tossed in at the minimum.

At $4 rather this would be somewhat more tolerable- at the $8+, ridiculous. I only wish I could give zero stars.

Please do yourself a favor and get a different cute book as a gift instead and don't make the mistake I did.

Shame on you amazon for not showing at least one page of this actual book to inform customers of what they are really paying for.
