This ink kit makes great looking footprints. I brought mine to the hospital with me when we found out that our birthing center did not take baby footprints. We got our daughter's footprints and handprints a couple of times with one kit. Ink does get all over the baby's hands and feet, but it does clean off easy like the instructions say. It's a simple product, but the end results are priceless. We scanned our prints and printed them on her birth announcements. Everyone loved them.

I liked the results with this kit best. I don't know what other reviews are talking about, but the ink came off easily for me. I followed the instructions and used the wipe before taking prints. Maybe that's where some people are messing up. I used another pad for our first child and the color was very light. I like the way the prints turned out with this kit.

Taking our baby's prints has been very easy with this kit. I rarely write reviews but i was compelled to do so given the ease to use, clean, and gt great prints.
As some other reviewers noted, I suggest to take a few sets of prints and scan and print the best ones.

This is the 2nd print kit i've purchased from Amazon the first one arrived completely dried out and thus was useless to me. I sent it back and purchased this one based on reviews. Be warned this kit is VERY messy but it does make great prints. My little girls foot prints turned out great but the hand prints not so much. We even waited til she was asleep to try her hands but she still clenched her fists and made a mess. As long as you clean the area your putting ink on with a baby wipe and rub a little baby lotion on before you start the process the ink will come off fairly easy when your done. Just make sure you have baby lotion,wipes,and oil on hand before you start and i would recommend doing this in the kitchen. On a side not i dropped one of the ink pads on my daughters onsie and i thought for sure it was stained forever. I washed it with Tide and it came out completely so it is non-staining like they claim.

This ink kit is really great. I like the way the ink does not run out of the pad, gives me great detail, and easily comes off. I would definitely recommend this for others to get and use

We had tried to do the plaster and molding clay for our son and that was just awful. We were able to do 3 sets of handprints and footprints off just one kit and still have ink left to do more if we want to. I liked that they provided the paper too. I cut it down to fit a 5x7 frame and decorated the paper around the handprints and footprints. These were given to my parents and my in laws and we have a set of each too and they were perfect!

This kit worked well but the ink doesn't come right off with the use of baby oil like the directions indicate. Our son's feet were kind of black for a couple of days.

This makes a huge mess, although the prints do come out very nicely once you manage to get them done. It does take 2 people to do it. I'm glad I used it, but it was very messy and I probably won't use this method again.

i did my baby's foot prints and they came out great, still need to do his hands when hes asleep enough.

Just an fyi, I expected that this would be geared towards foot AND hand prints since the photos for the product indicate that. The ink pad(s) is in the shape of a foot and very thin. This means that it is really not set up for hands. And since there are 2 ink pads, one for the left foot and one for the right foot, it seems to indicate a single use. So I only imagine that to get the hand prints, we would have to do some weird application and rubbing with a squirming baby! I am online now to buy something else - like a regular looking ink pad - since this one is really only meant for feet!!!
