I searched online for mittens for my baby that would allow her little hands to "breath" and I'm so glad I found this. It's a little big but after washing/drying for several times, it has shrunk to a perfect size for her. I love the fact that the fabric is light-weight and with holes allowing air to pass through. This allows the sweat of her palms dry up quickly, avoiding her hands to stay damp all the time, thus, preventing her hands to become stinky.

The reason I'm giving the item 4 stars only is because of the pricey shipping which is more than the items themselves. For 4 pairs of small mittens, shipping should not cost $8.26, especially if the price for those 4 pairs is only $7.

To the seller, try USPS flat rate boxes which is half the price of your shipping fee (I'm not affiliated with them). Your product will definitely fit in the smallest box. Just FYI, I almost didn't buy from you because of your pricey shipping. You may want to give it a thought... :-)

I got these mittens because i was getting worried that my baby's hands are always covered in little socks- which gives them no chance to "breath". The skin on his hands was getting no color and they were the whitest part of his body. I like the mittens because they have little tiny holes to allow air to get in. And, they are adorable- they look like cute boxing gloves on him :) The only thing that i don't like is that they are just like other carer's mittens do not hold. So i had to sow the ends a little to make them smaller so they won't fall off every 5 min. I Guess i would recommend them.

It's a great idea for mitten but it's too bad they are not made of 100% egyptian cotton :( My son's face got irritated the first time we put them on, since he likes to touch his face. Also the material is very thin so if you don't cut your baby's fingernails, he can scratch his head or face and bleed!

The size of these mits were great but....My infant son has eczema and these mittens did not work for him. The mit is like a net, so he could scratch right through the mit. We are just using socks since he has grown out of the newborn mits and are not able to find big enough ones to fit his hands now.

Buy these. Stop contemplating it, and buy them. S/H is high, so we bought 2 sets (8 pairs) at the same time, which made them only ~$3/pair. These mittens are spectacular. They are not tight, yet are snug enough that they don't fall off either. As you can see in the picture, the elastic part is long so baby can't slip them off. They are easy on, and they stay on. The holes allow the hands to breath, but they also allow him to play too. He can grab things with these on, where he couldn't when we were using socks (the other mittens we tried all just fell off when he bit them). The 8 pairs come in handy because he likes to eat his hands and this allows us to change them a few times/day when they get wet. I couldn't find anything like this anywhere else, and we are very happy we purchased them. Hope this review helps in your decision making process!

These are great mittens for an older baby (+1 months) that scratches. This pair of mittens provides adequate air flow and has wristbands that are not too tight on my 2 month old son. These mittens would have been too large (slipped off) for a newborn but are fantastic for slightly older babies. Only negative was my husband does not like my son having ribbon bows on the mittens :-). Regardless we just ordered two more sets of mittens!

My 3 month old consistently scratches his face no matter how frequently I cut/file his nails. The regular mittens are so thick that his hands become white and bloodless. These ones really breath and he wears them day and night without a problem! I wish the shipping is not so expensive, but it's worth every penny since I can't find it anywhere locally.

I ordered these for my daughter who has an NG tube in to keep her from pulling out.

First, they are wonderful. With the mesh, her hands can breath and don't get too warm and moist like with traditional scratch mittens.

Second, they are a little on the large size. I'm not sure it's because she a little baby with small hands. But, it will help as she grows as she has lots of room to open her hands inside.
We found if we put them on her hands, and the put the cuff over her long sleeve outfit they will stay on.

Overall, I'm very pleased with this product and highly recommend it.

These mittens are entirely too big for a newborn's hands. At age 8 months, they would fit but even after washing and drying them, they were still too big.
