5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!
I don't understand why these starws aren't everywhere! My 8-month-old refused to hold her bottle up herself and we tried 3 different kinds of sippy cups with no luck. My mother remembered using "bottle straws" when I was a kid (30+ yrs ago) but I'd never heard of them until I found these. 1.0 out of 5 stars not what I wanted
I am 54 yrs old and when my children were babies I bought a straw at Sears that fit perfectly inside a regular nipple for the baby's bottle. It allowed the child to drink from a bottle without having to tip it up. Perfect for the car seat on long trips or just to the grocery store. I loved it and now that I have grandbabies I wanted to buy one for each of my children...

The only thing you should know before getting them is that the ring (top) of the straw must make a seal around the bottle neck. I ordered the regular straw (I had only Playtex bottles) and they were too wide for the straw. I then bought some Gerber bottles and the straw fits fine. I think they have a wide necked bottle straw but I wasn't paying attention when I ordered :) My kid LOVES it nad so do I cause now I have my hands back!

I am 54 yrs old and when my children were babies I bought a straw at Sears that fit perfectly inside a regular nipple for the baby's bottle. It allowed the child to drink from a bottle without having to tip it up. Perfect for the car seat on long trips or just to the grocery store. I loved it and now that I have grandbabies I wanted to buy one for each of my children to use. I have not been able to find one and was so excited when I saw this item. It didn't work at all! It didn't fit in any nipple I bought and didn't look like nor work like the one I remember. I did return it and now my quest to find the one I remember is back on. Please help if anyone knows of the one I speak. Thank you, Sara

My sister found this for me. My 7 month old was trying to feed herself but couldn't tip up the bottle. I read that this didn't fit in some bottles so I purchased the plastic evenflo basic bottles. They came in a three back and were rather inexpensive at Target. The straw fits great and doesn't leak. Highly recommend to others.

My daughter wouldn't hold her bottle, she hated having to tip it back! This was a huge problem as she would get super frustrated and I was holding bottles long past when I should be. My mom remembered these from when we were kids and thank God for the internet, you can't find them in stores! This gave my daughter much needed independence, she loves walking around with her bottle now!

It worked with Dr. Brown bottles!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is sooo soooo wonderful! (from a REAL mom), June 8, 2011

My daughter was holding her own bottle at 6 months, I thought that was awesome... then she stopped! Every time I gave her one she flipped it over and it spilled in her lap. Seriously frustrating. So at 10 months I was still having to hold her bottle for her every single time. Talk about time consuming. I knew someone had to have thought of a straw for bottles. She'd pick the bottle up and try to suck on it but never tip her head back. THIS THING ROCKS! Seriously moms, buy it! You won't be sorry. I thought it might be gimmicky so I only bought 1 to start, I just placed an order for 2 more! I am so happy with it! The others don't have a flexible straw or weight at the bottom to keep the tip in the fluid, this one DOES! She burps a little extra when she is done but it's not like bad painful gas. She now doesn't even want me to hold the bottle for her. I am soooooo beyond happy with it I had to write a review to let other moms who are pulling their hair out know that they can save their sanity. :) Besides the fact that it is so cute to see her drink from this too! :) I buys tons from Amazon and rarely rate things but this one needed the credit it deserved!

5.0 out of 5 stars very useful, June 8, 2007
This review is from: Baby Self-feeding Bottle Straw - Stainless, 8oz (Baby Product)
i have this item, and its like very useful, because my baby learns to drink from the straw. you put it in baby's bottle, you don't need to tilt the bottle so that the baby can drink water. i recommend this for water only, not for milk, because it would be hard to clean it, if there are milk stains on the straw.its convenient bec. you never need to raise the bottle in order to drink.
