This is such a cool kit to help you get started with Baby Signs! The Parent Guide is VERY readable and explains the research (that says signing helps boost IQ scores -- I just thought it would be fun!!!), plus HOW and WHEN to start signing with your baby. (Another reviewer said that this kit didn't teach the how -- she either didn't view & read the actual kit or was referring to a different product.) The video dictionary is such a big help in actually seeing another live person do the signs. The baby DVD (which I guess is by the same production company that does the Baby Einstein DVDs) is so cute. My baby AND my older kids really like watching it. Both big brothers have already learned the signs from the DVD & are busy trying to teach them to the baby -- too cute!! The "Signs at a Glance Fipper" has a magnet to stick to the fridge for easy access (for us and babysitters!). Overall a GREAT kit at a GREAT price! Thank you, Baby Signs!!!

I just received my Baby Signs Complete Starter Kit. I'm thrilled! It 'sealed the deal' on the choice to teach my sign language using the Baby Signs Program. The book tells that this program has hard evidence WHY it works - people, they did 20 years of research! The examples of how it works and what to expect helps me to have realistic goals. The Video Dictionary CD has a beginning section where you 'meet the founders'. This all started with MOMS that happened to be doctors...abd they too questioned whether signing would delay speech (Their research found it accelerated speech development!)
The video dictionary can be watched straight thru or you can scroll to a word. A smiling woman appears and you hear directions on doing the sign (Really helps you remember them) as you see her make the sign.
The Quick flip reference guide is a resource wonderful for me that has magnets to attach to the fridge. Great for babysitters and grandparents when they are over.
The four little books for my baby are just the right size, have 8 pages. I like how the pages that face each other aren't too busy, but focus on a single sign at a time. ie A cute character doing the baby sign for 'cat' with the facing page of the character sweetly with the cat. These are definitely books great at home and that I can slip in my purse or diaper bag to use when we're out, or for use in the car.
The 'Favorites' DVD is fun to watch with my baby. It has upbeat music, puppets, babies actually doing the signs, characters doing the signs and 'Beebo'(a huge fuzzy bear with yellow gloves)too.
I liked the flyer that explained other products and especially classes where I could go & meet other parents doing this same program.
This Kit is definately a keeper!

My son absolutely loves the books, they are heavy cardboard and he cannot rip the pages like he has done to most of his books. My personal favorite is the DVD dictionary, I can either watch each sign in order or skip to a particular sign to see how it's done. I gave the flip chart of signs to my sister since she spends so much time with my son and she keeps it on her fridge. I'm glad my son likes the books but I think Baby Signs needs to come out with some more board books, we've pretty much mastered the ones we already have. We just registered for the 6-week classes too. Can't wait!!!!!!

I just recieved my kit and couldn't wait to check it all out! There were so many useful tools. My favorite had to be the parents DVD. I loved how they had a dictionary that could easily be accessed for a quick reminder! Having someone demonstrate the signs is also a big help. I tend to be more of a visual learner. I put the DVD in for my son and he loved it. Sat there watching attentivly and even attempting sign! Visible results right out of the box! The books are perfect sized for little ones to be hands on. And the quick reference guide willl help out family members and babysitters a great deal! I have looked into other programs however this kit sold me 100 % without a doubt!

I am very pleased with the kit! THe parent DVD gave me a lot of information about the program and how my little girl will benefit from signing. I LOVE the fact that I can look up a word on the DVD and see it signed for me...a big plus!

My daughter loves the Children's DVD and laughs and smiles...she is even trying to copy the signs!

The board books are the perfect size for little hands and I can easily slip them in a bag to take them with me.

I think this is a great way to start!

What a great kit about baby signing. The DVD for the child is so cute! The colors and the characters really catch my 7 month old son's attention and I love the quick reference guide and the video dictonary. It's so nice to be able to watch all the signs being performed so I know that I'm doing them right. Kudos!

I love this kit. It is very straight-forward on how to sign with your baby, and the products are great. I love the little board books, just right for little hands to hold. The video dictionary is great, you can watch the words being demonstrated for you. If you want to learn to sign with your baby, I recommend this kit!

I just love the Starter Kit! It is packed with loads of information and also gives GREAT advice on how to customize it for you and your baby! My kids LOVE the Diaper Doodles and the books are just the right size for their little hands. Such an AWESOME product!!! I would definitely recommend it to EVERY parent!

We love the Diaper Doodles and real babies! It was fun to wait for the monkeys to do silly things. My kids laughed. The Baby Signs bear is too cute! The repitition helped my kids learn the signs easy. Wonderful!!

The signing dictionary is very helpful and easy to use. It is always nice to SEE a demonstration of what you are reading!

Little board books are perfect to take along when traveling. They fit nice in the diaper bag or purse, the kids love them!

I even liked the brochure about classes, now I can get together with other families that sign!!

When my daughter got her Baby Signs Kit--I thought just another FAD. Then while the Grandkids were watching the DVD our 3 y.o. Granddaughter started to do some of the signs and trying to show our 1 y.o. Grandson how to do them. I was absolutely amazed and then I ralized how easy this could be. I looked at the rest of the kit and found there is a Parent Workshop and I'm signing me & Grandma up because we have an opportunity to do something really fun and educational with our grandchildren.

My daughter & son-in-law are signing up also. It'll be a fun thing to do together.

If you're a grandparent you can't pass up this opportunity because I see this as another great way to really bond with the grandchildren.

I'm so glad my daughter has this kit because it has reminded me that there is more to being a grandparent then just "being around".
