A Wonderful Book that You Can't Put Down!,
By A. Neill (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Baby-Sitter 3 (Point Horror Series) (Paperback)
"The Babysitter III" is an awesome book. It continues on where the 1st and 2nd books left off. This book will keep your mind reeling! The author wrote this book in such a way that the reader will have no clue as to who or what..... You won't want to put this book down so that you can come to the end of it and find out who or what. There are 4 books in this series, read them in order, they all have a very satisfying ending. Even though the first one is awesome, it seems like they keep getting better! I recommend them. Enjoy!

A Super Stine Book!,
This review is from: The Baby-Sitter 3 (Point Horror Series) (Paperback)
This was an absolutely marvelous R.L. Stine book! I couldn't put this book down for one second! The ending is a bit lame, but shocking nonetheless. I DO NOT recommend this book if you haven't read the first one though, you may find it a bit confusing. The main plot of the first book is that Jenny gets all these strange phone calls from a man named Mr. Hagen who wants to murder her. So in this 3rd book, when Jenny goes to visit her cousin Debra, Debra gets the same phone calls. But if Mr. Hagen is dead, who could it be?

Jenny still wakes up screaming every night. She sees Mr. Hagan everywhere she looks. Her mother decided Jenny needed a change. So Jenny goes to visit her cousin Debra. Debra has a babysitting job twice a week. All is well until Debra receives the first phone call from a dead man. "Hi, Babes. I'm back. Company's coming..." ***I had no idea who could possibly be doing the horrible things to Jenny and Debra. Chilling!***

Excellent, but DON'T read it at night!,

My best friend Sarah and I were browsing around at our school book fair, when we came across a really exciting-looking book, The Babysitter 3. We quickly grabbed a copy each and read the synopsis on the back. We both thought it sounded extreamly exciting. I had £10 with me and I'd already bought Point Horror Collection 10 for £6.99 and seeing as though it was on the half price table, I quickly paid with the rest of my money. That evening, at home, I started to read it. It was so scary and exciting; I carried on reading late at night. When I finally did finish reading, I had to keep my lamp on for the rest of the night as I was too scared to switch it off! The book was about a girl called Jenny who had had a scary time babysitting for Mr Hagen. Jenny goes to stay with Debra, her cousin. But when Debra is out babysitting, she gets the same, weird phone calls that Jenny got. The story's ending is poor, a bit rushed and a bit lame, too. Still, I definately give it full marks!

Third Book of a Wonderful 4-Book Series,
By
This review is from: The Baby-Sitter 3 (Point Horror Series) (Paperback)
Jenny has had tramatic babysitting experiences in the past. It's time for her to move on with her life; she needs a change of scenery. Her mom lets her spend the summer upstate with her cousin, Debra.
Unfortunately, Debra is also a babysitter. Will that bring back bad memories for Jenny? Maybe if Jenny just stays away from the house where Debra is babysitting . . . Jenny gets a job at a horse riding camp. Jenny loves riding horses, and this will be a wonderful experience for her. Perhaps get her away from the babysitting world . . . Meanwhile, Debra begins to get spooky calls while she is babysitting. What is it with the babysitters? Why are people harrassing them? And who is doing it? You will find out.

Not the best in the series,

This review is from: The Baby-Sitter 3 (Point Horror Series) (Paperback)
This is the 3rd book in the baby-sitter series. The first two were fantastic, but this one fell somewhat flat. I can see why this book went the way that it did, but because the readers are so invested in Jenny, it makes the ending a big disapointment. It's still an okay read, and the next sequel gets better. If you liked the first 2 books, you have to read this one, but if you haven't, skip this one and buy the first one!!

The babysitter 3,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Baby-Sitter III (Horror Point Series) (School & Library Binding)
The babysitter 3 by R. L. Stine was a terrific book. It was about this teen named Jenny, she's had troubles in the past while she was babysitting. While she was babysitting the father of the baby tried to kill her. After the incident her mother said that she should get different scenery. So she went to her cousin's house and stayed for the summer. Her cousin is also a babysitter and while Jenny is their, they go babysitting but Jenny is so nervous she freaks out while their there and never wants to go with her again. Debbie her cousin keeps getting these weird calls that her Cousin Jenny used to get from the man that tried to kill Jenny, but the man that tried to kill Jenny was dead. They kept getting notes and calls. I rate this book an A-. I also recommend this book to 13-17 year olds. I cant wait to read all the other babysitter books.

The Babysitter III,
A Kid's Review

The Babysitter III by R.L. Stine
"Babes, I'm back babes, and company is coming." Jenny's cousin is getting these frightening calls. Jenny still believes the man who tried to kill her is alive, coming back for her. At the same time, her cousin Debra gets these horrifying calls, while Jenny is having horrifying nightmares. Debra says it's all a big joke but Jenny on the other hand says it's no joke. Everyone is surprised with what "Mr. Hagen" does. Jenny's nightmares keep growing worse. Mr. Hagen always used a dry, crackling voice when he called and that's what Debra's been hearing on the phone calls. R.L. Stine's blood thirsty books are always a scare, especially his three books of The Babysitter. So babysitting is an easy job, right? Let's read the book and find out, but watch out because on Shadyside's haunted Fear Street babysitting can be a deadly job. R.L. Stine's books are killer. Literally! Read this book if you dare!
