Excellent End to a 4-Book Series,
By
This review is from: The Baby-Sitter IV (Point Horror Series) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is the 4th book of a 4-book series. Even though each book can stand alone, it is more fun and interesting if you read them all, in order. In the first 3 books, Jenny had tramatic experiences in the babysitting department.
In this 4th and last book, the new next-door neighbor asks Jenny to watch her kids. Should Jenny totally give up babysitting? Strange things happen next door. Is Jenny crazy, or are these things really happening? The ending of this book is fun and satisfying. I re-read these 4 books after 10 years or so of reading them the first time, because they were so good. I think they were even better the second time around! (If that's possible.) They have been a fun and enjoyable adventure and escape. I think these 4 babysitting books are the best books that R.L. Stine wrote (that I've read, and I have not read them all). I think I'm done with R.L. Stine for a while, and I am going back to reading adult books. I highly recommend the 4 babysitting books to all teens and only die-hard fun-loving adults.

YOU WILL BE SHOCKED!!!,
By "muscle_boy03" (Coral Springs, FL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Baby-Sitter IV (Point Horror Series) (Mass Market Paperback)
Unlike the first three books of this series, this one has new characters and new horror. Mr. Hagen is history in this book. The first three novels of The Babysitter were good but it got boring when the same old Mr. Hagen keeps calling and stalking Jenny. But in this one, (part 4) Jenny has different problems. She babysits a next door neighbor's two twin boys and daughter. Neither of them are older than eight. With those three kids, Jenny is having creepy experiences again. She doesnt know who is responsible, but when you get to the ending, you will just totally faint with shock and horror. It totally got my head spinning. R.L. Stine proved how good of a writer he is with this book and I definitely reccomend this book to any age people who like utterly creepy novels with shocking conclusions!!! Read it today!!! I am 15 years old and after reading this I am sure that I'll be reading Stine books forever.

SOMETHING DIFFERENT FROM THE FIRST THREE!,
By Kimberly (holland) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Baby-Sitter IV (Point Horror Series) (Mass Market Paperback)
I read this book in three hours (with breaks in between of course. The very first in this series is still the very best, what I found so good about this story is that it is completely different from the first three. That is a good thing what RL Stine did, I mean another murderer would've gotten boring and damn why would everyone want to kill Jenny, that just would've been absurd. And the girl surely would have gone crazy for real. This story is so completely different and RL Stine added more supernatural stuff which made the book very scary and a very good read. I think it was a good final chapter on Jenny's babysit adventures. Like she also finally closed the book on it herself. RECOMMENDED!

Has Jenny Gone Crazy?,
By Rudy (Arizona, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Baby-Sitter IV (Point Horror Series) (Mass Market Paperback)
Jenny has gone to a hospital (for like crazy people) for a year. She was away from her normal life. Away from her friends. Now she's out of the hospital. Jenny's no longer afraid of Mr. Hagen coming back. Jenny and her mom moved to a new neighborhood. The woman next door wants her to baby-sit for her children. Jenny thinks she can handle it easily, so she baby-sits, but when she puts the kids to bed she hears noises and voices. At night she sees a little blond boy running in the back yard. She sees a sad girl. She hears animals howl. Is Jenny seeing things for sure, or is she just imagining it? You should read this book. It's a very cool book full of horror. It is totally different from "The Baby-Sitter", "The Baby-Sitter 2", and "The Baby-Sitter 3", but you'll like it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.,

"The Babysitter IV" is the last book of the 4-book series. I was sad that I was finished with them, but they left me very satisfied. Each book was different and unique, but this one was even more different, which was good, because it was good to have something with a different twist. Anyone can enjoy this 4-book series, whether you're a pre-teen or 90 years old or anywhere in between - everybody deserves some fun some time or another. I enjoyed each and every one of these 4 books. As with the other 3 books, this book will keep you on the edge and your mind reeling.....

I read the first one and it was spooky! So then I checked out this from the school library and thought it would be great! But it wasn't really. I mean, I expected another killer, but just got ghost children instead.

Newest "Baby-sitter" book fails to reach its potential.,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Baby-Sitter IV (Point Horror Series) (Mass Market Paperback)
I don't know about everyone else, but it seems that this series just keeps getting worse. This is by far the worst book in the series, and there are several reasons for that. The first is the scare factor. Like The other two sequels, and unlike the origanal, this book fails to be scary. It just doesn't have any erie moments. Also, unlike the other books in this series, this one failed to entertain me altogether. The concept, as well as the characters, is bland. Another factor is credibility. I mean, how many terribly bad baby-sitting jobs can one have. My opinion is by the fourth book in the series, you need a new main character. This book seemed to be quickly thrown together to cash in on the baby-sitter series. This is not the best of Stine's novels, and is by far the worst of the Baby-sitter novels.

It is a very good book.,

I read the Babysitter 3 first but the 4th is the best. Stine is an incredible author. It has to be hard to think up so many scary ideas for every book and never repeat
