4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent soundtrack
This was the first CD I ever owned, and although it was released almost ten years ago, the music it contains has proved to endure the various phases my musical taste has undergone. This was the first CD I ever owned, and although it was released almost ten years ago, the music it contains has proved to endure the various phases my musical taste has undergone. This soundtrack is primarily comprised of acoustic, borderline alternative songs from would-be popular bands way back when. To compare, if this CD had been released in more recent years, it probably would have included songs from Avril Lavigne, Vanessa Carlton, and possibly Coldplay. All in all the Babysitter's Club Soundtrack deserves four stars, because of the fact that the true identity of the singers of the final track, "Girl-Girlfriend" is never revealed - not even in the CD book - which dissapoints fans of their vocal sound (the Beu Sisters are a good substitute).

4.0 out of 5 stars Too Short, October 5, 2001
This review is from: The Baby-Sitters Club: Music From The Motion Picture (Audio CD)
This is a great soundtrack. It has a great variety of music. I wish it had a few more songs tho, it only has 10. If you loved the movie, you'll love the songs from it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Songs of My Life is On This CD!, October 20, 2001

I'm surprised how well this soundtrack fits my life. All these songs have lots of meaning to me. Here's my review of each and every one:

1. 'Summertime'-this song describes how I feel about summer! SUMMER IS THE BEST!

2. 'Say It'-this song describes why you can't trust some people--they can't keep their mouths shut. I've had that situation happened to me more times than I want to remember.

3. 'Hannah, I Locked You Out'-this song describes uneasiness in a relationship--like, a relationship going too fast or the other person in the relationship is using you or that the other person in the relationship wants things, not love. I can sort of relate to this song--I know people who can also.

4. 'Let Me Know'-if I wanted to strip (which I don't), I'll listen to this song. If not, I'll skip it (which I do).

5. 'Hold On'-one of the highlight songs of my life--I don't know why though.

6. 'Everything Changes'-if my life was summed up into one song, this song would be it. This is the 'song of my life'!

7. 'Don't Leave'-I can relate to this song. I love Ben Lee's voice!

8. 'Step Back'-this reminds me of someone doing something to me that bothered me the first time they did it and then they did it the second time and it didn't bother me.

9. 'Daddy's Girl'-this song describes the father-daughter relationship I have with my dad.

10. 'Girl-Girlfriend'-I wish this was an actual girl group. Unfortunately, it's not--it's just the characters of the BSC singing it. I hope there's a girl group someday that sounds like this.

Anyway, that's my review. This soundtrack ROCKS!

4.0 out of 5 stars Really Good Soundtrack, March 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Baby-Sitters Club: Music From The Motion Picture (Audio CD)
Has all the songs from the movie. Really Brings back memories from the 90's. If you are a 90's kid this is a must have, along with the movie. I have this movie on VHS... wow I feel old saying that. But it is a really good movie, and the songs are good too. While some acts went on to be big (Xscape), and others we never heard from again (Moonbeams & Caterpillars), all the music is enjoyable. It's also a kick to look at the CD and see Sony Wonder on there; it doesn't even exist anymore.

This CD is cool, something to be able to show the grandkids, put in a time capsule, etc. or just listen to.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Babysitter's Club Movie Is Fun And Heartwarming., April 6, 2006
This review is from: The Baby-Sitters Club: Music From The Motion Picture (Audio CD)
The song being played at Kristy's birthday party on the BSC movie is called "Hear" by a group called "Moonpools and Caterpillars." And, that other song that goes "hey ya ya ya ya, heyyyy ya" is "Never Let You Go," (if I'm not mistaken) by "jakaranda." Oh, and I loved the Babysitter's Club movie. Found it in the 5.50 bin and Wal-Mart. I had to search forever to find it, but, I finally did. The only special features are two movie trailers, though. It's in fullscreen, but, the picture is good. You can tell the age, but, still good. And, whoever said that the voices don't match the lip movements were wrong. They do. So, don't worry about that. All-in-all, I say that for a fun, feel-good film from 1995 that didn't win any oscars, the BSC dvd is a good buy, as long as you get it for under 10 bucks.
