Very cute illustrations, but iffy implementation.,

The pictures and the shape of this book are very cool, and the concept of letting kids see the process of growing a pumpkin to make a jack-o-lantern is nice. However, the top layer of paper peels off the boards pretty easily, and the end of the book is a bit confusing. Baby Snoopy and Baby Woodstock make a jack-o-lantern by drawing a face on with a crayon, yet the face is somehow lit up on the last page. Did they carve it between pages, or did the crayon magically turn to light?A cute book for Snoopy & Woodstock fans, but not necessarily logical or durable. |
