Mitch and Dana Brenner have known each other for as long as they can remember. They got engaged during Passover dinner, and had a wonderful wedding to kick off their life together. This family oriented couple values the traditions and customs of their religion, and look forward to passing them down to their baby. These first time parents are expecting a little boy. While Dana plans on giving birth as naturally as possible, she takes comfort in knowing the epidural is ready and waiting if she needs it! In act two, the Brenner's celebrate Chanukah at Dana's parent's house. Mitch makes up a batch of his famous latkes, and there is some debate by family members whether they are better with applesauce or sour cream! After the lighting of the candles, everyone helps themselves to a family style dinner, complete with brisket, stuffed cabbage and grilled vegetables. Then, it's time for the gifts. Everyone gets in on the act, especially the little ones. A special highlight of the evening for Dana is spending time with her 97-year old grandmother, affectionately known as Nanny. Act three brings us to the hospital. Dana is about 4 weeks early, but has been walking around 4 cm dilated for several days. Her physician, Dr. Fox who happens to be good friends with her father, doesn't want to take any chances. For Mitch, the evening is doubly stressful, as his father has been quite ill, in the same hospital, for several weeks.
