This is a good shirt. First off, it's probably not made of the same material you're thinking. It's like a bumpy, threaded type material that I personally did not expect. Second, it looks just like it does in the pic. I personally like the fact that it's kind of long at the bottom. It's not so long that it looks like a dress or anything like that... lol. As far as size, I'm like mostly everyone else that reviewed this shirt so far, 5'11 160lb and I'm pretty muscular (I don't want to sound arrogant, I'm just trying to give a helpful review.) DEFINITELY GET THE MEDIUM AND NOT THE SMALL IF YOU'RE CLOSE TO THE SAME SIZE THAT I JUST DESCRIBED!!!! The guy in the picture definitely has a medium on. The medium was so tight that I could hardly take it off. The more in shape you are the better this will look.
Yea a lot of people said it: this is a slim as hell shirt.
I'm 5'11, 160, with an athletic build and I got the medium (a size I haven't messed with in a long time) and it still fits close to the body. But that's how American Apparel likes it anyway...have you seen their store and product line?! Either way, I dig it!
But its great: warm and functional as a great for layering. Some said that it's a lot longer than a standard shirt made elsewhere and that's definitely true. But it's not a problem as you can either get it tailored or even just let it alone as it bunches up around your waist due to the close fit + your pants/belt/whatever you're wearing.
If you want a good fitting shirt, I'd order up 1 size. If you're feeling the looser route, 2 sizes for sure.
