I just purchased this product a few weeks ago. It was a choice between this one and a more expensive Jeep model. I took both strollers on a brisk walk around the store and they both performed very well. I then folded them both and removed the front wheels to see how easy it would be. This model was the easiest to fold, and the front wheel came off with no problem. The Jeep had a better canopy, but it was bulky and cumbersome. If I were a hardcore runner, I would have probably went with a more expensive model. However, since I average twenty miles per week, this works nicely. I can also fit it in my trunk for a quick trip to the mall. The only problem that I have with this stroller is the canopy does not cover my baby very well. I found a canopy extender for 15$, and that solved the problem. I would highly recommend this product.

Drives like a dream!,

I bought this stroller last night to take to the county cookoff and I can't tell you how pleased I am with it. It rides smoothly off road (loose dirt, gravel, grass), has infinitely adjustable recline, steers easily and the wheels are easy to take off and put back on, if you need to do so to fit it in the car. I haven't jogged with it as I'm not a jogger, but I had it on the jogging trail today walking at a quick clip with the front wheel locked straight and it lived up to expectations there too. I have seen some reviews on this stroller in a different color complaining of a wobbly front wheel when jogging; I didn't have an issue with that but the instructions clearly state the wheel must be locked in the straight position when jogging. I would definitely recommend this stroller to others, especially considering the price is awesome compared to similar strollers.

Perfect for Light Joggers,
This review is from: Baby Trend Phantom Jogger - Black/Grey (Baby Product)
My wife bought this stroller 4 months ago and we both love it. She is 5'9" and I am 6' 2". The handle bars are a good height for both of us and there is plenty of "leg room" so we don't kick the tires. We use it for walking and running. My wife assembled it herself in about 5 minutes, and we have not had any issues.
It folds up easily and fits in the trunk of our car w/o having to remove the front wheel. The front wheel can lock for running or swivel for better handling in tight spaces. We always tighten the wheel down before heading out (as stated in the owner's manual) and have not had any problems with it wiggling loose. Handles curbs and pot holes like a champ. The canopy rotates plenty, so sun coverage has not been an issue, but it might be a problem if there is rain (haven't had to test that out yet). Over all a great buy. Our daughter loves riding in it. I recommend this to any fitness walker or recreational jogger.

good price and meets all my needs,
This review is from: Baby Trend Phantom Jogger - Black/Grey (Baby Product)
I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews of this stroller, but overall I have been happy with it. I wanted a stroller that would be able to handle easy hiking trails in the woods, that I could also use for running with my daughter 1-2 times per week (~3 miles per run). This stroller is great for both. The big wheels make going on the woods trails smooth, while being able to transition the stroller to a fixed wheel for running is exactly what I needed. If you are really into running and wanting to speed train or train for a long race with it, you might be unhappy. However, for the occasional runner who also wants to go on some walks that a regular stroller might not be able to handle, it is perfect.

BUY THIS JOGGER!,

This product is designed to accommodate the babytrend infant car seat, until the child is large enough to strap in without it. The car seat locks in facing towards the handles. My wife and i use this and a used babytrend snap n' go stroller given to us by a neighbor. If you have a babytrend car seat or a older baby they are both EXCELLENT products, sturdy construction and a nice glide. The only negative is, if you have limited trunk space it is a little hard to transport. The snap n' go stroller is a better option for quick transport. I'm extremely happy with the strollers and would recommend both of them for purchase.

Front wheel not bad!!,
This review is from: Baby Trend Phantom Jogger - Black/Grey (Baby Product)
I read a million reviews and a small minority had mentioned how the front wheel wobbles. However I wanted to try it for myself since there were so many cons. It works great!!! It only wobbles if you run really fast, so you just lock the wheel in place and you are done! Duh! Just wanted to share!

hmm... i posted a review on this stroller several months ago and it is nowhere to be found. stroller isn't anything particularly special. it's ok (i don't have a lot of experience with other strollers) however, what made me give this 2 stars (maybe should be only 1 star) is because the front wheel fell off of the stroller while my baby was strapped in. luckily he was not hurt. buyer beware. also not particularly smooth on non-paved roads.

I have had this stroller for over 1 year, I purchased the matching baby trends infant car seat aswell. I am happy with the quality, but my complaint is that this stroller is definetly not for daily use, it is hard to stear, and when the wheel isnt locked it will wobble out of control even below normal walking speeds, when you lock the wheel the stroller is harder to manuver. Other than that this is a good jogger stroller, and works well for jogging, and walking. I would reccomened this stroller for people to use it for walking and jogging.

OK, I have been using this stroller for about two months now. I use it as my every day stroller. I have been walking long ways with it and it is very smooth. I love how easily you can maneuver it, you can just steer using one hand which is a plus if it is raining and you have to lets say, use an umbrella. The only problem I have so far is the front wheel, like other reviewers have stated, it wobbles. Of course the problem goes away if you just lock the front wheel, but I don't like doing this, because then the wheel does not swivel, and that is exactly why I like this stroller. So I just slow down a little and ignore the wobbling, it eventually stops.
So far I have used it only with the car seat attached, and unlike another reviewer, I had no problems with the car seat. It attaches to the front tray and then you have to make sure that it clicks and does not move, then you lock the two levers on the other side. My daughter who is now three months old, sleeps without a problem while she is in it and looks very comfy. With my first child I had a Gracco stroller and I hated how poorly it steered and I did not like the fact that the wheels were plastic, this is the reason why we decided to buy a jogging stroller with real wheels. This one was the right choice and very affordable. |
