great stroller ... fits graco infant seat, February 17, 2009
This review is from: Baby Trend Sit N Stand LX Stroller, Grey Mist (Baby Product)
I recently purchased the sit and stand stroller after lots and lots of research. I have a newborn and a three year old son. I did not want a double stroller because they are so large and my three year old is focused on being a big kid and will not stay in a stroller. We finally purchased the sit and stand after going to different stores and trying the comparable joovy and also debating on just purchasing a new single stroller.
The stroller was easy to put together and I was happy that my graco snug ride infant carrier snapped perfectly into the front seat. The stroller comes with the bracket for the infant seat. Unlike other brands you do not have to purchase it separately. If you have another brand carrier and you are not sure if it fits... the stroller has a secure belt that goes around your carrier to make it fit tight. Sort of like when you place your carrier on a shopping cart and it doesn't snap perfectly you can use the strap to keep it in place.
The key to getting my three year old son to enjoy the stroller was that we presented it as his new big boy seat (we did not use the term stroller) its all about the way you present it. We showed him how he can hop on or hop off as he pleases and that he can sit on the seat or stand. He likes that he has choices.. and he is not being told what to do. To our surprise he stays in it more then he ever did with a stroller. I think because he doesn't feel pressured to stay put.
The Pros- Fits my graco snug ride car seat, easy to fold, fits in my trunk nicely, my three year old picky son actually sits in it! its skinny and easy to manuvor, large basket to fit diaper bag, light weight, tall handle, wheels give it a smooth ride on rough pavement, glides over bumps and easy to push.
The down sides- it is long i feel like i am pushing a train at the mall. Its also impossible to reach the basket underneath when both children are in the stroller.

It's gonna be hot, April 26, 2008
This review is from: Baby Trend Sit N Stand LX Stroller, Grey Mist (Baby Product)
Two complaints: 1. The fabric colors are much darker than in the pictures online and the outside of the box. Parts of the visor and seat are nearly black. This is a specific concern for us in a warm climate during the summer. The visor is also pretty useless, it doesn't provide any shade for the toddler sitting in the jump seat, and very little for the front seat as well. 2: Stroller is very long. With the carrier on, it's even longer.
Good points: I love the ease of folding/unfolding the stroller with one hand. It's not too too heavy to lift into the trunk, but it's not light either. It does fold fairly compactly for a two-seater, and it fits well in the trunk of my car. Good handle height that doesn't make the hubby stoop over while he's pushing the stroller. Nice parent tray. The basket is easily accessed from the SIDE, or you can have the toddler in the jump seat hand stuff to you, as mine likes to do.
Overall good design, but could use a few minor improvements.

Less than 1/2 the price of Joovy Caboose, September 28, 2008
This review is from: Baby Trend Sit N Stand LX Stroller, Grey Mist (Baby Product)
I managed to get this on sale at Target a couple weeks ago for $99 and consider it well-worth the price. It's really about the same weight as the Joovy Caboose Ultralight (compared them in-store side-by-side), about the same length, but less than half the price. It corners very well, considering its length. I would agree that the basket is difficult to access (can't get into it from the side, either), and my toddler in the jump seat isn't terribly careful about how she puts things in and out of the basket, but she tries! :) The parent tray hasn't fallen off, but the front footrest fell off the first time I folded it up for the car, haven't tried putting it back on (the front is occupied by a carseat infant currently, so don't need it) to see if it falls off consistently. The jump seat pad does keep sliding off/around the bottom of the seat. I wish the storage compartment on the parent tray were a little bigger (used to the two storage compartments on my old Graco stroller). The lock for holding the stroller closed is good, but you do have to make sure the wheels are turned the right way to get it to close enough. Finally, when I'm walking very fast/jogging, the wheels in front start wobbling quite a bit. I know, it's not a jogging stroller, but I never had that problem with my old Graco (which I was using for the same StrollerFit class until I got the Baby Trend).
