3.0 out of 5 stars Less than 1/2 the price of Joovy Caboose
I managed to get this on sale at Target a couple weeks ago for $99 and consider it well-worth the price. It's really about the same weight as the Joovy Caboose Ultralight (compared them in-store side-by-side), about the same length, but less than half the price. It corners very well, considering its length. I would agree that the basket is difficult to access (can't...

5.0 out of 5 stars great stroller ... fits graco infant seat, February 17, 2009
This review is from: Baby Trend Sit N Stand LX Stroller, Grey Mist (Baby Product)
I recently purchased the sit and stand stroller after lots and lots of research. I have a newborn and a three year old son. I did not want a double stroller because they are so large and my three year old is focused on being a big kid and will not stay in a stroller. We finally purchased the sit and stand after going to different stores and trying the comparable joovy and also debating on just purchasing a new single stroller.

The stroller was easy to put together and I was happy that my graco snug ride infant carrier snapped perfectly into the front seat. The stroller comes with the bracket for the infant seat. Unlike other brands you do not have to purchase it separately. If you have another brand carrier and you are not sure if it fits... the stroller has a secure belt that goes around your carrier to make it fit tight. Sort of like when you place your carrier on a shopping cart and it doesn't snap perfectly you can use the strap to keep it in place.

The key to getting my three year old son to enjoy the stroller was that we presented it as his new big boy seat (we did not use the term stroller) its all about the way you present it. We showed him how he can hop on or hop off as he pleases and that he can sit on the seat or stand. He likes that he has choices.. and he is not being told what to do. To our surprise he stays in it more then he ever did with a stroller. I think because he doesn't feel pressured to stay put.

The Pros- Fits my graco snug ride car seat, easy to fold, fits in my trunk nicely, my three year old picky son actually sits in it! its skinny and easy to manuvor, large basket to fit diaper bag, light weight, tall handle, wheels give it a smooth ride on rough pavement, glides over bumps and easy to push.

The down sides- it is long i feel like i am pushing a train at the mall. Its also impossible to reach the basket underneath when both children are in the stroller.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's gonna be hot, April 26, 2008
This review is from: Baby Trend Sit N Stand LX Stroller, Grey Mist (Baby Product)
Two complaints: 1. The fabric colors are much darker than in the pictures online and the outside of the box. Parts of the visor and seat are nearly black. This is a specific concern for us in a warm climate during the summer. The visor is also pretty useless, it doesn't provide any shade for the toddler sitting in the jump seat, and very little for the front seat as well. 2: Stroller is very long. With the carrier on, it's even longer.
Good points: I love the ease of folding/unfolding the stroller with one hand. It's not too too heavy to lift into the trunk, but it's not light either. It does fold fairly compactly for a two-seater, and it fits well in the trunk of my car. Good handle height that doesn't make the hubby stoop over while he's pushing the stroller. Nice parent tray. The basket is easily accessed from the SIDE, or you can have the toddler in the jump seat hand stuff to you, as mine likes to do.
Overall good design, but could use a few minor improvements.

3.0 out of 5 stars Less than 1/2 the price of Joovy Caboose, September 28, 2008
This review is from: Baby Trend Sit N Stand LX Stroller, Grey Mist (Baby Product)
I managed to get this on sale at Target a couple weeks ago for $99 and consider it well-worth the price. It's really about the same weight as the Joovy Caboose Ultralight (compared them in-store side-by-side), about the same length, but less than half the price. It corners very well, considering its length. I would agree that the basket is difficult to access (can't get into it from the side, either), and my toddler in the jump seat isn't terribly careful about how she puts things in and out of the basket, but she tries! :) The parent tray hasn't fallen off, but the front footrest fell off the first time I folded it up for the car, haven't tried putting it back on (the front is occupied by a carseat infant currently, so don't need it) to see if it falls off consistently. The jump seat pad does keep sliding off/around the bottom of the seat. I wish the storage compartment on the parent tray were a little bigger (used to the two storage compartments on my old Graco stroller). The lock for holding the stroller closed is good, but you do have to make sure the wheels are turned the right way to get it to close enough. Finally, when I'm walking very fast/jogging, the wheels in front start wobbling quite a bit. I know, it's not a jogging stroller, but I never had that problem with my old Graco (which I was using for the same StrollerFit class until I got the Baby Trend).

4.0 out of 5 stars Good double stroller for casual use, March 20, 2011
This review is from: Baby Trend Sit N Stand LX Stroller, Grey Mist (Baby Product)
I've owned this stroller for nearly a year now. We had a newborn boy and a 2.5 year old girl when we bought it.

Pros:
Not having the kids side by side means that you're not as wide.
Having the toddler facing you (riding backwards) means that they can talk to you and you can hear them. My daughter has figured out how to sit on the seat facing forward as well.
Love that you can put an infant car seat in it.
It's one hand collapsible so it's easy to put into the car.
Having the option to stand, sit, or get out of the stroller and walk is great for a toddler who gets antsy.
Less expensive than most other double strollers.

Cons:
You have to be really sure that the bar is secure if you're putting an infant car seat in it. Our carseat, with child inside, dumped out of the stroller and into the street because it wasn't latched properly.
When you use an infant carseat the stroller is really front heavy. It's difficult to control when you're pushing sideways on a hill, such as across the top of a sloping driveway.
It's really long, like driving a bus.
The basket underneath is hard to get into.
The shade for the front seat is pretty worthless.

If you're a casual stroller user, then I would recommend this stroller. For this class of double stroller (ie not a jogging stroller) it's a good product, sturdy, and we're still getting use out of it a year later. But because it tries to do so many things, it doesn't do any of them super well. It's acceptable, but not the best that I can imagine. Taking the tradeoff with the price and for the amount we use it I'm happy with it, but I wouldn't be if I used it every day.

4.0 out of 5 stars Big Pros Outweigh Big Cons, December 7, 2010
This review is from: Baby Trend Sit N Stand LX Stroller, Grey Mist (Baby Product)
We've been using this stroller for nearly a year and a half now. My son was 3 1/2 years old when my daughter was born and we knew we needed more than a double stroller to last us the next several years. Some of the cons don't crop up until the younger child is actually sitting in the front seat.
PROS:
1. My son loves the option to sit or stand and it's great to have a place for him to "rest" from walking or sit while eating a snack
2. Has a snack tray and bottle/cup holder for baby once they are sitting up
3. Large amount of basket space
4. Cupholder/storage compartment for adults
5. Smooth ride, navigates turns well despite length
6. Fits Graco Snugride infant carrier
7. Weighs about the same as our Graco single stroller and takes up about the same amount of space in the trunk
8. Durable, no problems and it's been loaded and unloaded and had a good amount of wear and tear
CONS:
1. Snack tray (and I think footrest as well) has to be removed when stroller is opened up or collapsed
2. Separate rear brakes unlike the Graco stroller
3. Basket is accessible only from the side when both children are riding
4. Shade doesn't provide much coverage, if any, at times and gets in the way of the older child's space
5. The five point harness is hard to get to when the snack tray is attached
6. Front seat has only two positions and the second "reclined" position makes it a little difficult for the older child to use his/her seat (and the front seat has to be reclined when using the infant carrier)

As the title says, the pros ultimately outweigh the cons. Having to remove the snack tray is a pain, the shade is fairly useless and getting in and out of the basket drives me nuts most of the time--but having a stroller that I can use with both of my kids and that they are actually happy sitting in makes it all worth it. Especially when my son was 3 1/2 it was great to be able to have a place to corral him during long errands and even now, at five years old--I love having it for anything where a lot of walking is involved. I love the large basket and I learned to get around that issue by using two small bags instead of one large diaper bag and half the time I put one on a hook over the handle bar so it is readily accessible for snacks, sippy cup, etc. This stroller could use some Graco improvements, but it has been worth the money for our needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING, March 27, 2011
This review is from: Baby Trend Sit N Stand LX Stroller, Grey Mist (Baby Product)
We just replaced our old double with this double and WE LOVE IT!!! The old double had steering issues because of the weight of our "older" child sitting in it with our youngest but this new one is A-MAY-ZING! My 3 yr old(almost 4) and 2 yr old(almost 3) AND my 9 month old all fit in it (even though its only a double) and it is a breeze to push... the place for your "Big Kid" in the back is big enough for both our 3 yr old to stand and our 2 year old to sit while pushing our little one in front...it is HEAVEN

We thought the weight of all 3 at once might be an issue but it definitely is not. It is still way easy to push and corners like a dream.
3yr old: 36 lbs
2yr old: 32 lbs
9 month old: 21 lbs
(The last two are pretty big for their age but yes the weights are correct)

Would recommend it to anyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Around Town - Practicality Plus!, July 7, 2009
By
TAJ (Central NJ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Baby Trend Sit N Stand LX Stroller, Grey Mist (Baby Product)
I was looking for a way to minimize the bulk in order to run errands and just simply get around town. I have 2.5 year old twins and a baby on the way. This was the best solution I could find. Although it is not recommended to have more than 2 kids - I had to consolidate. I wasn't about to upgrade from a double stroller to a triple and since my twins rarely use a stroller as it is - it became the way they could share a ride with the new baby when they got a little worn out.

Pros: smooth ride, double cup holders, ample storage space, easy to open/close/insert Graco car seat, the twins love it - makes them feel like big kids.

Cons: don't bother with the foot rest and the canopy is not reversable (i.e. cannot be used by seated child)...since my baby car carrier already has a canopy it is useless. There is no way for the seated child in the back to take a nap as there is no headrest or way to recline.

Overall - great for getting around town if you have 2+ kids. Longer trips may require more - yikes! Don't even want to think about multiple strollers. Less is more!

4.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, February 3, 2009
This review is from: Baby Trend Sit N Stand LX Stroller, Grey Mist (Baby Product)
Bought this yesterday. My 2 year old son loves sitting on the platform seat. We don't yet have another baby on the way, but plan on it soon. Up until now I used the Graco single, and just never loved using it. We live in a city and use a stroller a lot. The Graco is bulky, heavy and not all that attractive. I decided it was time to make a more practical change. I did my research e.g. compared price, reviews, product dimensions/description and always came back to this one, and finally just went out and bought. All in all we're really happy with the purchase.

Pros... (compared to the Graco single)... Light weight, more narrow, collapses a little bit more when folded up, multiple functions are streamlined, good for a tall person, and handles well even in light snow.

Cons... Visor is essentially useless b/c it's too short for my son when he's in the front seat and completely in the way when he's in the back, platform seatbelt should work both ways, cup holders are shallow (they work, but cups wobble around) and the foot rest pops off when folding up the stroller (totally annoying). I will probably end up taping my on. Note... this stroller isn't suitable for someone who has two kids who need to nap in the stroller. This isn't an issue for me.

I'm using it in an airport tomorrow to push my son around and carry some luggage. If you don't hear back from me, it worked great!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Stroller!, November 8, 2008
This review is from: Baby Trend Sit N Stand LX Stroller, Grey Mist (Baby Product)
I love this stroller! Purchased 3 months ago when my baby was 2 months & my toddler had just turned 2. Very functional and easy to use. Folds more compact than my single Evenflo stroller. Easy to fold, just make sure the front wheels are facing the right way first. (Pull the stroller backwards until the wheels flip to the front). Slightly heavier than my single stroller but not much. My 2 year old loves sitting in the back. She can reach the cup & snack tray and loves being able to talk to me. Currently using the bar attachment for an infant seat in the front. I've read complaints about the basket underneath, but there are snaps on the side that you undo to reach into the basket. I haven't had any trouble with it at all. I've taken it on walks around the neighborhood, into horse arenas to give riding lessons, and into stores. Enjoy your purchase!

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful for trips, February 17, 2011
This review is from: Baby Trend Sit N Stand LX Stroller, Grey Mist (Baby Product)
I did not buy this new but it is an amazing stroller. I have a 9 month old son who is bigger then the average baby and he sits and lays back in the seat comfortably, while my 3 year old son who is a big boy also sits behind him on the bench seat and my 6 year old daughter stands on the platform. Yes it maybe for two kids but all 3 of mine fit and enjoyed our trip to the zoo. We did not use the basket underneath because my sons feet were in it but it seemed like too much of a problem to get in there even with out my son on the seat. Overall I love this stroller and would buy again. The two cup holders on the top are nice but the little compartment is just that, Little. It was not big enough for my phone (iphone 3g). I just filled it with some cherios so i could pass down to the baby. The cup holder for the front seat was nice it held the playtex cups which the other stroller i used could not.
Great stroller!!!
