math and physics club's best ep so far.,

This review is from: Baby I'm Yours (Audio CD)
"Baby I'm yours", the second ep from northwest indie poppers Math and Physics Club demonstrates their trademark smiths inspired vocals and guitar riffs. The title track starts off the ep with a catchy and brilliant melody that sticks with the listener long after it has stopped playing. The next two tracks, "nothing really happended", and "in this together" are slower in pace, but effectively incorporate violin into the mix. Sometimes when bands add strings to a song it can be to their detriment, but in this case the strings add value to the track. "Do you keep a diary", is a failed attempt by the band to do a song with mostly keyboards. The song itself sounds like a throw away track that would not fit on a full length album. Overall this is a great ep that is fun to listen to.
Recommended if you like the smiths and the lucksmiths.
