After trying 4 different potty chairs including one with a toilet paper holder, flushing noise, and a smiling face as the toilet tank I read reviews about this Bjorn seat. I almost didn't get one because people complained about their boys having a hard time keeping their urine stream in the bucket. I am so glad I ignored their reviews because my son loves this seat!! At first the seat looked smaller than I expected, but my 36" tall, 32lb, just turned 2 year old son fits perfectly on it. Part of the training for boys is to teach them to lean forward slightly when they sit on the potty in order tokeep things inside. The guard is just the right size, and if our child has an issue with it getting in the way when they sit down, train them to avoid it by either entering to sit from the side or by not lowering their body until after the guard is in front of them. The oblong shape of the bowl is great for #1s and #2s. It's easy to clean since there are no hidden grooves, nooks, crannies, or screws. No batteries to change, or levers to fix. My son actually loves to pull the bowl out and dump it into the big toilet, flush and put the bowl back. So he gets to flush something and I get to cheer for him rather than a chair. Love this seat. I also recommend reading Pottywise before training your child (boy or girl).

I bought this potty for my grandson, because I used a similar "European" potty chair for my children 20 years ago. This was as close to the one I had that I could find. I love this potty, it is easy for my 2 year old grandson to use. It is extremely easy to clean. It looks nice. Very stable bottom. There is one tiny flaw. The urine guard in front is just a bit short. Nothing more aggravating then getting the kid to the potty and he wets all over his clothes and floor because the guard is too short. If you have a girl this is a fantastic potty and you should have no problems. I would rate it five stars if I had a granddaughter!

This potty has it all: sturdy bottom that doesn't slide, a wide base and seat for my large daughter, attractive colors. It's best feature is that the potty itself is easy to remove and get clean -- a godsend, in my opinion.

Awesome design. Grandkids #7 & #8 are twins ... Boy and girl (2 yrs old). We've had several potties over the years (3 kids, 8 grands). This one stands out because of the elongated shape of the removable pot and the built in "splash" guard which is high enough to do the job. Previous potties with guards frequently scraped sensitive body parts, collected urine in the crevices, had shallow pots, weren't easy to clean. My grandson can easily take care of his potty visits without spraying his pants, socks, shoes and the floor! HIs twin sister even empties the pot and with the deeper bowl doesn't slosh contents on the way to the toilet.
The height of the potty is just right, not too high or too short. The grandson is big for his age (in the 95th percentile) while his twin sister is on the petite side. Comfortable fit for both.
Highly recommend this purchase to anyone with little ones in their lives. Wish this had been around for my kids!

Great design: easy to clean, sturdy but the splash guard is just a bit high for a girl to climb over. Daughter is 2 and leery of backing up and sitting on the chair because she accidentally came down once on the splashguard while trying to sit. I feel like I have to help her carefully sit down each time. For the record, she is very tall for her age so it isn't because she is too short. Love the chair but she doesn't want to use it so all the well-designed features are irrelevant for us. She chooses her grandma's 1940's potty chair to use instead. Wish the splashguard was removable.

My toddler who's in the 95th percentile for height and 75the percentile for weight at age 2-1/2 fits perfectly on this potty chair. It's plenty big enough, unlike some other models that run much smaller. I like that the cup is removable for easy emptying and cleaning. Some of the reviews say that the seat doesn't appear comfortable, and although it's true that my little boy ends up with red lines on his butt cheeks where he was on the potty, he likes to sit on it and doesn't seem uncomfortable at all. We've never had any problems with the removable cup pinching his skin. This is also much, much better than using the toilet because sometimes it takes some time on the potty before the pee-pee comes and this little potty can go to any room in the house. I highly recommend this chair.

We've had several potty chairs and I'd say I like this one best. It has a high back and armrests, making it comfortable for my daughter to sit. There aren't a whole lot of cracks and crevices, which makes it easy to clean. The chair is sturdy and doesn't tip over. It is larger than some of the other chairs, which were a little too small as my daughter grew. If I had to do it over again, I'd buy this chair first.

UPDATE: This is the best you can get for a potty seat; but between a potty chair and a potty seat insert, I do prefer the potty seat insert. In fact, I like the ones that insert onto the toilet seat like Flip Toilet Potty Seat - Blue. It's just less mess to clean up.
