white film issues?,
This review is from: BabyGanics The Dish Dazzler Dish Washer Detergent, 1.18 L (40-Ounce)Bottle (Health and Beauty)
I've read a lot of the bad reviews about this product and just wanted to tell you that the white film is NOT detergent, its hard water. phosphates are in chemical detergents (well, used to be, but aren't currently) anyway, thats whats causing it. use like 1/2 a cup of vinager in your dishwasher (in a cup on the top rack when you run it) or some citric acid powder (at healthfood stores). that'll take care of it. i'm betting even if you used a chemical detergent without some sort of rinseaid, you'd still end up with the white film. also your stuff isnt ruined...run it through a cycle with either white vinager or citric acid, it'll come off.

I think I know what's going on with the negative residue comments.,

I think the reason why so many people are leaving negative comments on this dishwashing detergent is because like all of BabyGanics products, it's concentrated which means you only ever need about 1/3-1/2 of it when you use it. I know what you're talking about though since I accidentally filled out dishwasher resivour with it and they came out with a white haze. The trick it so fill it to only half or else there's just too much and it has nowhere to go but on your dishes and glasses. Try that suggestion and see if it works, because it does for me. All my stuff comes out crystal clear.

Double washing bc of white residue!,
This review is from: BabyGanics The Dish Dazzler Dish Washer Detergent, 1.18 L (40-Ounce)Bottle (Health and Beauty)
I had the same issue with the white residue and if you run the dishwasher with vinegar, it will take it off but the point is why should i have to wash again all for the sake of "green and natural"?

I will never use another type of dish detergent for any of our dishes! This detergent leaves all of family's dishes sparkling clean and leaves absolutely no residue. Highly recommend!

I ordered this because I love all other products by Babyganics...My house is a babyganics house now ever since I had my baby. But this Dishwasher Detergent is definitely below mark on performance as compared to rest of the stuff. I used it in my dishwasher twice and both the times I had a thick scale deposited on all the utensils, bottles etc. I had to spend an entire day soaking them in vinegar and scrubbing them to clean it off. I wanted to call Babyganics to let em know about this just because I LOVE all their other products and I want them to FIX this. I didnt do that but I am writing this review now hoping they will address the problem.

Love this soap!,

This soap works great for our needs! Just add a little (about 1/2 cup) of distilled white vinegar to your wash load and it keeps any hard water deposits from forming and everything is spotless! What's even better, we don't get the fragrant/chemical smell and taste on all our plastic products anymore that the traditional detergents leave! I was afraid to wash any of my son's stuff in the dishwasher before! We were getting tired of always hand washing bottles with Babyganics foaming soap (which is amazing also) and wanted a quicker alternative. This has been the answer for us! Now all the sippy cups and everything can safely be washed in our washer. Even baked on food comes off our dishes no problem!

I have had a pretty good experience with this dish detergent and like that it is phosphate and bleach free. I generally do not prewash my dishes unless they have something staining like tomato sauce, and even with the dried-on food if I wait a day for the machine to fill before running it, this detergent usually gets my dishes clean. I find that the things that need a little extra attention are the same things that did with the detergent I used to use that contains phosphates.

i was concerned about the white film that everyone talks about but we haven't had any issues so far. i fill the detergent holder about 1/2 to 2/3 full, depending on how full the dishwasher is. i don't use vinegar or anything else, just babyganics, and everything comes out nice and clean. since i found the dish dazzler, i've become a big fan of our dishwasher!

Several reviews out there about leaving a film on dishes/bottles, but I have not noticed it being an issue. I needed something safe to wash my daughter's bottles and cups with and this fits the bill. All my dishes seem to come out just as clean as they do with normal detergents too!
