Product Description

Toddlers' First Booster Seat. From the high chair to the grown-up chair. Cooshee Hybak is the PVC/free and BPAfree foam booster that stays put with the weight of the child! It's an awesome seat that's COOL to sit on. Cooshee comfort teaches a little kid how to behave like a big kid. The Cooshee Hybak is the award winning "strapless" design for the transitional tot, who is ready to graduate from the security of a "safety-strapped" high chair to the family table and the big kid chair. Between the ages of 2 and 2 1/2 years old, toddlers are ready to do it alone. Cooshee Hybak is a stable booster with a sturdy construction to keep it in place. As children grow in height, they carry most of their weight from the waist up. Leaning over can cause most booster seats to tip. Cooshee will stay put with the simple weight of the child and its unique angled base will prevent tipping. Cooshee Hybak has a backrest for comfort and perfectly positioned armrests for secure support - and it fits easily under the table. The ergonomic curved front positions the tot's legs slightly apart, promoting proper posture. Sitting for longer periods of times is easy in a Cooshee. One piece construction with no sharp edges or small parts. Simply smart!

From the Manufacturer

The Cooshee Booster has a new high back design and provides proper seating posture, comfort and stability. The low arm height makes it easy to keep chair close to table and the unique molded foam stays put with weight of child. The soft, ribbed seat pattern is skid resistant. The curved front facilitates proper leg placement. The cooshee is used indoors and outdoors and is 100% waterproof, bacteria resistant, non-allergenic, with no latex, and no phthalates.

I own two of them. Great transition seat. Bought them when the twins were a little older than 2. Could have used them earlier but I had high chairs that pushed up to the table. It is the best booster seat. Cleans up easily. Doesn't damage my oak cherry stained chairs. Perfect height for 2 year olds. Travels well. You cannot place them on cloth chairs because they will move around. Able to use on wooden chair seats and cane chair seats. I will be back for a third one very soon.

We have three of these boosters. I'm very surprised at how many 5 star ratings these have gotten and am wondering if most people just rated the item within the first few days/weeks of receiving it.

We bought these boosters a bit over a year ago.

The things I LOVE about them are:
They stay in place on the seat.
They have no cracks, crevices, holes, gaps or grooves where food and crumbs can collect.
Very simple to clean.
Comfortable for the kids.
They have no belts (I find belts annoying).
They are lightweight and easily moved from one place (home or chair) to another.

The things I DESPISE about them are:
They permanently damage expensive furniture.
They fall apart within a year, and NO $50 booster seat should fall apart in a year's time.

Because these seats are made of dense, anti-slipping foam material, which is a REAL plus because you do not have to strap it to your chair, it has the adverse side-effect of adhering so tightly to the seat of your chair that it creates a bond with whatever is on your chair - varnish, paint, etc. Break that bond = ruin the finish on your chair. All three of my chairs are ruined. Like another reviewer said, these $50 seats will cost us hundreds in the end when it's time to fix our furniture. That is unacceptable, to me. There should have been some warning to that effect on the product.

The other thing that upsets me is the fact that my boosters are falling apart. Because they are foam, they harden somewhat over time, and the creases that will eventually form in the new seats - along the backs, sides, etc. - slowly turn into deep creases, then tears, which then quickly turn into large rips.

We've owned this booster seat for 2 years now. It looked like such a comfy seat and our oldest was ready for a seat without straps, so we went for it. On the good side, it IS very comfy, and easy to take to grandma's house. I have never seen it slip or scoot with my child in it. I was appalled, though, when we took the booster off of our chair so that an adult could sit in it. It had completely ruined our nice black wood chair! The bottom of the booster is now stained black and our chair will need to be refinished. Whenever we pull the booster off of the chair, it is like it's stuck on there with glue and damages our chair even more. I thought the booster was pricey to begin with, but if I had known it was going to cost me well over a hundred dollars, I never would've bought it. In case you're wondering if your chairs are like ours, our dining room set is from Broyhill's "attic heirlooms" line.

I highly recommend this booster! My 2 year old wouldn't sit at the table with us-not in his highchair, not on other boosters-not on the chair! I purchase the Cooshie Hybak and not only does he use it at the table-but, takes it and puts it on the floor to sit on while playing or watching tv!
It DOES NOT slip out of place on the chair. Seems very comfy-The higher back seems to offer more support to my son's back. We really love it.

I recently bought this product for my 18 month old son. This is a good booster seat that is everything it claims to be. It appears to be comfortable for my son, I like that it has a little higher back than the original seat. This seat is very easy to clean which is great! My only issue is that we keep our seat on a wooden, painted seating area and if the seat sits in one place to long it becomes so secure to the area that it will literally pull the paint off from under the seat. Otherwise, great product and would buy again!

I found cleaning the nooks and crannies of a plastic multi-part booster to get old. I love with these seat that there are no hidden spots for jelly, raisins, and milk to sit. For cleaning this seat, I found that a spray cleaner (like 7th Generation or 409) works better than just soap and water, especially if it is dried on (I worry that if I pick at it or scrub too hard, I will rip/break the outside coating and expose the foam core)

My only disappointment is the outside shell - I thought it would be thicker, almost like a bumbo seat. It doesn't feel like there is much shell over the foam. It isn't a problem yet so maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it really is when our second child is old enough to use it.

I have been using cooshee boosters for several years now. I bought 2 of the original cooshies when my older two were 2 & 3 years old. The sides on them tore & broke from the way my kids slid out of the seats. Even though that made the seat very unattractive, it was still the best booster seat in the world! It still functioned wonderfully as a booster seat. I keep reading how these seats ruin your chairs, but that's because after your child eats, you need to pick the seat up, wipe the cooshee & your chair, and allow the seat to dry between meals. If you at least break suction from seat to chair once a day, you should have no issues at all. I'm surprised at how many people don't wipe down their booster seats & underneath them (our booster seats usually get so filthy that I want to lift them up naturally to get the sides good & clean at the very least).

I bought a cooshie hybak booster for my daughter when she was about 3 yrs old. She is now 6 & the booster is still in perfect condition. It is not as easy to break as the original cooshees are. My 3 yr old has been using her seat for a year or so, so it's been continuously used the last 3 years. I just ordered 2 new ones for my younger boys so my 3 yr old can have a more manly colored seat & my 2 yr old has a lime green one. I'll now use the hybak as an additional seat for cousins that come visit.

I gave this seat 4 stars because it's awesome, but it DOES break easily (especially the original ones in my experience).
