I ended up taking this back to the store because, while I did like it...it was difficult to find a good ratio of filling vs dough, and it seems the dough wins every time. Also, you have to be extremely quick when placing the first dough circle, then quickly put the filling in, then place the top on. It cooks to fast that usually the bottom side is overcooked (though never burnt). The sticks always seem to fall out and I gave up and just made mini pies w/o the sticks.
It you have a small family and just want to keep this around for a quick treat, it's fun. But not kid friendly at all as it gets super hot and (it also warns not to have children use it, or use under strict adult supervision)as careful as I was, my fingers brushed the hot surface a few times.
If you have money to burn and like to make quirky desserts, this could be really fun.
For me, it was just more troublesome and time consuming than actually making mini pies the old fashioned way - using a baking sheet or mini muffin tin.

I like the product and the idea for pie pops. Its a cute little baker that works pretty well. My only issue is clean up. This thing is most definitely not the easiest thing to clean. Since it's all one big connecting electronic piece, you cannot get it too wet or submerge it in water. I'm still trying to get burnt pie filling off (and yes I read the very short and limited cleaning instructions. Maybe a re design where the pie tray detaches for cleaning?

If you bought this expecting for your kids to be able to do it, that's your own fault. Obviously the thing's going to get hot. How else would it cook your food? Common sense guys. Just supervise your kids.
Cleanup is really easy, and this is so much fun to use. I love to use it to make grilled cheese.

Awkward and difficult to use
The pie pops are good when they are done, but to get them done is quite a chore and I have yet to have any of my pie pops really turn out using this machine. Major disappointment.
