Although best known for their heartbreaking ballads, it's nice to hear some happy Sade songs once in awhile. Babyfather, the second single from Soldier of Love, is a sweet reggae-tinged reminder to Sade's daughter Ila that no matter what happens between her parents, her daddy will always love her. The sweet chants of "your daddy knows you're a flame" emphasize the point. Little Ila even joins the track with "your daddy love come with a lifetime guarantee" and bandmember Stuart Matthewman's son Clay drops some background vocals that are a dead ringer for Bob Marley.

The charming video features Sade making treats in the kitchen, hanging out some clothes on the line, and driving an ice cream truck and passing out some goodies to a group of cheerful kids. It's like a sunnier version of the King of Sorrow video. Love it! "Daddy loves you, yeah!"

I used this song for a Father's Day movie I made. This was one of the most perfect and modern day song to have for anything like that. Great song overall. Sade is beautiful

There is no question about Sade, and her return to the world after a 10 year absence from making music. With Soldier Of Love striking #1 on Billboard, it has been clear that her being missed from the world for a deeply long time has been noted by a lot of fans. Her second single from Soldier Of Love, Babyfather, shows a inspiration of Reggae and a feeling that tries to capture the moods that Bob Marley had showed from his music during his days in the spotlight. The song is one of the better songs from her album. If you've downloaded just Soldier Of Love alone, than you should download this other addition to your music library, and that issomething Sade would smile about.
