I should have checked the ewg rating myself before purchasing this product instead of reading some of the good amazon reviews and listening to word of mouth from friends. I recently came across this article ([...] that babyganics cleaners have a preservative called Hexahydro which releases formaldehyde (known carcinogen that is unsafe even in smaller amounts) during product use. If you ask me, such products should be banned in the first place - I am planning to toss the cleaner purchased from amazon since it cannot be returned and i don't want my son anywhere near such a product.
I must admit that I have since tossed this product and will probably not buy it again but there are several other websites that have stated how EWG is not a reliable source for information about ingredient safety.
Not sure who to believe at this point. Will probably just have to stick with good old vinegar and water. Yuck.
The only thing that I am unhappy about is the spray bottle. It is significantly smaller than a normal windex bottle and somehow seems like the air builds up inside the bottle and then the spray comes out VERY forcefully when you spray it. This empties the bottle very quickly and it seems like a waste. Not sure why it does that. When the bottle is near empty, it starts leaking around the cap and dribbling down the bottle. Annoying. For that I only give 4 stars.
