5.0 out of 5 stars Two great episodes of the fifth season.
NO COMPROMISES. This is the first episode of the fifth Babylon 5 season. Sheridan is ready to take over as President of the newly formed Interstellar Alliance, while B5 has a new Captain. But things can never go smooth for a change... A renegade war criminal from Earth Alliance is determined to assassin Sheridan. Meanwhile, a group of rogue telepaths asks for sanctuary in...

3.0 out of 5 stars A mixed bag
This video tape contains the first two episodes of the fifth season of Babylon Five. The two episodes pretty much sum up the fifth season: a grab bag. "No Compromises" was pretty much of a let down as it let too many questions dangling (eg. how is the Alliance constituted, who pays to keep it running, etc). "Very Long Night" however is pretty...

"Very Long Night" however is pretty much to strongest episode of the season. Can't really find much fault with it and it keeps going right up until Londo's tearful apology to G'Kar.

Meanwhile, a group of rogue telepaths asks for sanctuary in the station, led by a mysterious person named Byron. A thrilling episode that triggers the events of the telepath war.

THE VERY LONG NIGHT OF LANDO MOLLARI. He was sent to Babylon 5 as an ambassador, because no one else wanted the job. But in the last five years he became a hero to his people and a curse to the rest of the galaxy. Can deeds of the past be forgiven? No penance, no absolution for Ambassador Mollari. Suffering from a severe heart attack, he finds himself trapped inside his heart. There he has to face his ghosts: Delen, as the ghost of his bloodied past. Sheridan, as the spirit of his present. And Vir, as the guide of his uncertain future. And always present, the face of his nemesis: G'Kar. Through him, all his victims ask for compensation. All it takes is a word. Will Mollari be able to speak the word that's required of him and live, or will his pride kill him?

Another great episode of the last season.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Rousing Start to Babylon 5's final season, August 23, 2001
This review is from: Babylon 5 - No Compromises/The Very Long Night of Londo Mollari [VHS] (VHS Tape)
These are two of the finest Babylon 5 episodes in Season 5; they start the show's final season with a bang. In "No Compromises" we meet Babylon 5's new commanding officer, Captain Elizabeth Lochley (Tracy Scoggins), who arrives on Babylon 5 during its usual state of turmoil. Newly elected Interstellar Alliance President John Sheridan (Bruce Boxleitner) arrives at his inauguration as the target of an Earth Alliance assassin, an EarthForce war criminal who blames Sheridan for starting the recent civil war. Meanwhile a group of rogue telepaths led by the mysterious Byron (Robin Atkin Downes) arrive on Babylon 5, requesting sanctuary. Overriding Lochley's objections, Sheridan agrees to Byron's request for a colony of telepaths on Babylon 5. In "The Very Long Night of Londo Mollari" Ambassador Mollari (Peter Jurasik) falls prey to his hearts, almost succumbing to a severe heart attack. In his unconscious state he confronts his demons, as three spirits, Delenn (Mira Furlan), Sheridan and Vir (Stephen Furst) point out his bloody past, tumultuous present and uncertain future, and his nemesis G'Kar (Andreas Katsulas) insists on Londo's acknowledgement of Narn blood on his hands. Meanwhile Delenn has to come to grips with her changing relationship with Lennier (Bill Mumy).
