She's baaaaaaaack! Babymouse returns in book #11 of this smart, sassy graphic novel series. Surprise - the "dragon" is not some fire-breathing beast from the King Arthur era, but something Babymouse fears much more...MATH! When Babymouse gets an F-minus on her math quiz, her teacher forces her to join the school mathlete team, the Fighting Fractions. Their quest: to help bring back the Golden Slide Rule and restore the school's honor. How can a student who gags at geometry survive this arithmetic nightmare? With a little humor and a lot of imagination. Readers will enjoy her daydreams inspired by popular movies such as The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe and The Lord of the Rings. As an educator, I love the way Babymouse "slays" her personal math dragon. When her mathlete teacher encourages her to "believe in herself" she relies on her drawing and reading skills (not to mention her lively imagination) to solve a complicated word problem and bring home the math trophy. One of the best Babymouse books to date!

My 2nd grader has read 5 books in this series since Christmas day and she LOVES them! My daughter is a strong reader with a high interest in reading, but these books would definitely appeal to kids that might not be as psyched about reading too. Great series!

My 11 year old daughter has been reading the Babymouse series for about two years now and she just can't get enough. She enjoyed this book just like all the others. I also purchased one of these books for my 8 year old niece and she read it in two days...

Not only does my daughter love Babymouse, she reads the stories to my son at bedtime. They both laugh and share in the entertainment of this book.
