Kids would love the book design: attractive handle and just the right size would make them want to bring it everywhere. Colorful illustrations, pleasant to look at but not too much details for the young eyes and imagination. Story is appropriately short and simple, with Scriptural verses that would make them appreciate the Bible. Parents would find value in those the sturdy baby-proofed pages that would last till your next baby! Reading this to your child would be a joy. Don't worry about your story telling skills: you'll get hints (cheat-lines) at the bottom of the pages suggesting actions or movement that would capture your child's attention. I gave this as a gift to my niece, and my sister requested for the rest of the series..... (which were just as good!).

I purchased this book for my daughter to begin introducing her to God and the Bible. She LOVES this book (her Biba). The stories are very short and the pictures very colorful to help hold her interest. She 'reads and re-reads' this book herself (she's 22 mos old) and carries it with her to Sunday School. The handle makes it very easy to carry for her and the clasp helps keep the book closed when not in use. An excellent introduction to the Bible.

THE SIMPLE LANGUAGE, PICTURES OF ANIMALS AND CHILDREN, AND SUGGESTIONS FOR COOPERATIVE PLAY MAKE THIS BOOK ONE OF MY TODDLER'S FAVORITE. HE LIKES THE STURDY PAGES, LITTLE CLASP (GOOD FOR FINE MOTOR SKILLS), AND HANDLE (TODDLERS LIKE ANYTHING WITH A HANDLE). I LIKE THE SIMPLE BIBLE STORIES AND THE POINT AND NAME ANIMALS. THIS BOOK IS PERFECT FOR INTRODUCING BABIES TO YOUR FAITH.

This Bible is wonderful. The simple (often rhyming) text, cute illustrations, and charming design are expertly done. Even better, it includes most of the essential truths of the Bible, from creation to the resurrection and even a sample 'law' and 'psalm'. We just can't believe how much it includes while being so brief and baby-friendly!

Baby's First Bible does kind of skip explaining original sin. But for a text this short, it's not surprising. And sin is easy for a caregiver to explain along with the stories of creation (what did Adam and Eve do next?), or Noah's ark (why did the flood come?), or Jesus' death and resurrection (why did He do it?).

We can't think of a better way to start learning about the world and our place in it. This is a must-have book for every family!

This book is a sweet start for Bible stories. It has 10 stories which are: What God Made, Noah's Ark, Baby Moses, David the Shepherd, Daniel, Baby Jesus, Jesus at the Temple, Zacchaeus, Jesus stops a storm, and Jesus is Alive. The stories are short (about 6 sentences long) which is enough to give a child the "gist" of the stories without being too wordy and losing their interest. Some stories are in rhyme. I think this is a nice way to introduce little ones to the greater, more complex Bible stories.

My 3 y.o. son practically demands we read this book every night before bed during our family bible and prayer time. Just the right amount of text, spiritual 'milk' aimed right at the young listener, and nice illustrations to boot. The 'action items' on each page really excite our young one, he can't wait to roar like a lion, baa like a sheep or sing 'happy birthday' to Jesus each night.

My wife and I are going to start teaching in our church's toddler room this summer and this book is definitely coming with us!

I have been reading books to my 6 month old baby since he was about 3 months old. He absolutely loves it!

What a great introduction to Bible stories for young children! My kids love the gentle drawings, and my littlest loves to carry this book around by it's handle.

I didn't think it was possible to fit the entire Bible into a 10pg board book for babies, but the publishers did a great job picking and choosing key stories to illustrate. There are also actions for you to do with your baby on most pages, such as pointing out all the animals and things God has made. The handle, bright colors and cut-outs in the book make it appealing for baby too.
