Great variety of songs, good value,

This is a 3-CD set. My oldest two children, aged 4 and 2, ask for their music almost every day. Each of the numerous songs are about 60 seconds each. Although I wish they played multiple verses of each song rather than just the first verse, it is still a wonderful addition to our Christian home. We only use two of the three cds. The third is "Now I lay me down to sleep" and has a water-sounding background to the music that we don't especially care for. The other two, "Little Angels Sing Praises" and "Baby's First Songs of Joy" are still well worth the price. Recently, we've started choosing one song and playing it on repeat until the children learn it. At that same time, we pull out their "The Beginner's Bible" and read the corresponding bible story to tie the two together. My children really enjoy putting together the story and the song and then talking about what happened, and possibly acting it out.

These CD's are absolutely great for kids. Many of the songs are old familiar ones like "The B-I-B-L-E," "Amazing Grace," and "I'm in the Lord's Army," but they have also included some Christmas carols and other kid's songs that I've never heard. They are not super high budget or quality as far as sound, arrangement, etc., but overall they are not too cheesy or annoying (which I personally find a lot in children's music). I like listening to them with my kids because the songs are uplifting and actually pretty fun and my kids REALLY like them and light up when I put them on. The voices are pleasant and there is enough variety of sound that they don't get bored. I will agree with the other reviewer that some of the songs are very short (only one verse, for example), but I imagine they did that to keep kids' attention. Especially for the price, I highly recommend purchasing this set.
----- A correction of sorts: My husband contends that they are as annoying as most other kid's C.D.'s, but he still thinks they are great for kids! :)
