Baby's My First Photo Album of Family & Friends

We received a comparable product as a gift from a family member when our first grandchild was born 4+ years ago. Now that we have another new member of our extended family, we were looking for a similar gift (since the actual product we received in 2004 is no longer available).

We like the number of "pages" in this album - 15 total pictures, counting the front and back of each page. Plus a little reflective panel at the back that would function similar to a mirror. That's more than some of the other available first albums offer.

Compared with the one we received several years ago, we feel that the pages are a little more difficult to turn. It's possible that this is just because the pages were so compressed in shipping. Perhaps this problem will work itself out as the new little one uses it.

Likewise, the outer cover seems a little more stiff and a little less soft than the previous product we had. That's our comparison, but it may prove to be more durable as a consequence.

The good news is that photos are inserted from an opening closest to the inside binding on each page. So, unlike some other similar products where photos are inserted from the top of the page, it's not so easy for little fingers or slobbery mouths to get to them.

Overall, we still feel that this is a good buy.

This was one I chose because of multiple pages, not just 6 or 8, and not pre-labeled. You can put in BOTH sets of grandparents (usually space for one set) and aunts/uncles, cousins, best friends, Nanny, etc. Very easy to customize. Plastic is a bit ripply, but it's sturdy enough. Good advice: print out pictures on paper...less toxicity if baby chews them!

This was good. The pages inside are plastic which is good for keeping pictures safe, but the plastic was wrinkled possible during shipping so they pictures are not as clear as I would like them. Also the pages could fit a picture larger than 4x6, so it left some see through space around my pictures. Overall though I like the book. I think the mirror at the end is great.

My 14 month old daughter loves to look through her very own photo album. The pages did stick together a bit at first, but it wasn't that bothersome to me and now they don't stick at all. It fits enough photos to inlude our entire family, and the mirror at the end was a great idea. I love how photos are inserted towards the inside of the book, so my daughter is not able to take them out.

I wanted a photo book for our son to see friends and family. It's a great way to keep them aquainted with faces they don't see too often! He loves it and I love the make of the book.

My son loves looking at the pictures we put in this book. The cover is fabric, so it has the potential to get dirty, but other than that it is great. Lots of pages for pictures!

Living far away from my grandson, I wanted him to have this so he would know his out of state family members. It's an amazingly, great idea.

My baby loves this book. I put pictures of the family inside and he carries it around everywhere. The pages tend to stick together a little when it's new but that didn't last long once he started flipping thru the pages all the time.

Great overall product--it meets the need--and is 'as advertised.' It does, as other reviewers have noted, have space for 17 photos total, and leave a little space (which shows through--clear) on the tops and bottoms of horizontally placed 4x6 prints. I like the clean look of the "just clear pockets" pages. When I was ordering, I read through many reviews to get a fuller picture of what the inside of the book contained; I would have liked to see photographs of the inside pages, to save me this "research." The pages are no-nonsense and functional, with a simple fabric (black and white striped) border along the edges of clear, plastic pockets. Good, clean design, that fully meets the intended purpose, and will match anything you insert.

I am not a fan, however, of the white cloth front and back. I don't care for the large company logo covering the back cover, and the cartoon baby and alternating red, dark-blue, and black letters forming the title aren't my thing either. It is very gender neutral, however. I'm willing to overlook the cover for the product, but am considering covering up the designs--my sister in law recommended iron-on fabric. :)
