My little bundle of joy is actually a little bundle of gas and typically in a bad mood. We discovered turning on the bathroom fan she'd fall asleep rather quickly. We came to Amazon looking and not expecting to find a white noise CD and here it was. I ordered it and shipped it for next day (do not interpret as desperate, OK wait, yes....I WAS). This CD is AMAZING. It WORKS....and I know because I usually forget I have it.....and my little bundle will be comforted by NOTHING and then I remember: I bought that CD!!! When I turn it on....no more then 5 minutes she is OUT! I recommend this more than anything I think I have EVER recommended. Sure it is annoying (unless 74 minutes of a fan is a turn on for you) but babies LOVE IT. If mine falls asleep.......I ASSURE you, so will yours........PURCHASE THIS and for the smarter parents........have it BEFORE the baby arrives and you will be one step ahead!

I was skeptical at first but what did I have to lose? A few bucks? I already spent that much and more trying everything else. The truth is, this CD works. Better yet, it worked on me too! My son was able to finally sleep through the night....and so was I! We will be using this CD until he doesn't need it anymore, and then I'll use it for myself. :D

Don't leave home without it....and don't use it while driving.

I bought this CD when our baby was three months old. Our 11 month old bay is still listening to this. I have researched and bought several other "white noise" cd's. And this is the only one that has worked for her. This cd is great. It masks out other noise - dog, TV, door bell and even, EVEN, fireworks. We play this CD on a continuous mode. I am about to purchase a second one - for just in case the other one were to malfunction or what have you.

Experiment with the volume level so that it is not too loud for your baby.

We are struggling with a baby who has a very hard time getting to sleep. My pediatrician recommended we try some white noise for babies. We tried the Dr. Harvy Karp's "The Happiest Baby On The Block", lots of hype but did not work. We tried the Joe Baker "Ultrapure White Noise" absolutely horrible and actually agitated the baby! Then "Soothing Sounds for Sleep" was useless too.

Desperate, we finally tried this Baby's First White Noise CD" Hallelujah!! It worked on the first try and has been working like a charm ever since. I suggest that if you have a fussy baby, start with this one first. One long 74 minute track of this sound which you can put your CD player on repeat and play over and over (this is what we do and play it all night and during nap times.) Highly recommended.

This white-noise CD worked wonders with my 8-week old daughter! Before I had the CD, it took up to 3 hours to put her to bed. Now I don't have to use the vacuum or hairdryer anymore in the middle of the night to put her to sleep! Now she is 12 weeks old and I am still using the CD, although she doesn't really need it anymore, the consistent bedtime routine seems to be all she needs now. The CD was a great help! I definitely recommed it!

Although I don't have kids yet, I bought this CD because I really liked the sound of the sound sample at the website and thought it might help me sleep. (I have chronic insomnia) I have lots of these sleep type CDs and get tired of nature sounds so I thought this would be a nice change. Wow! I didn't expect this to become one of my favorites. This CD has a very smooth and mellow fluid air sound. Almost like air being pushed thru a long tube. I know it is made for babies, but believe me it works very well on adults too. A great CD for sleep. I rate it A+.

My baby is a week and a half old. I put the CD on for him and he slept like a champ. The CD sounds like static, but certainly gets the job done. Since the baby is sleeping in our room the CD is not distracting to our sleep. It may have actually helped us sleep too.

I had previously reported the CD was faulty because there were clicking noises at the end. I contacted Amazon but it was past the return date. I contacted the company that makes the CD, they were very responsive and helfpul, and after cleaning the CD with windex per their instruction, the clicking went away. The CD is pretty effective at blocking out ambient noise for our baby, who is a very light sleeper.

My son has used this every night for the past two months and has been sleeping 8-10 hours a night for the last month, since he was 3 months old. It works great!!

Where would we be without this CD? I had a slightly colicky baby and I paid rush shipping to get this ASAP. It does wonders to get a baby under 4 months to sleep, it reminds them of being in the womb. And because it's a CD that can be put on repeat (and it's 74 minutes long to begin with!) it can be played ALL NIGHT LONG, which is why it works the best (move over sleep sheep, you suck!).

If you have a new baby and they are having a hard time falling asleep in their room alone, please consider this product. Get a portable CD player with a repeat function and it will help your baby sleep wherever they are. My daughter is over 11 months old and we still play it on repeat all night in her room because we live in an apartment on a busy street and it helps to block out the noise.
