5.0 out of 5 stars For the Baby's Sake by Christine Rimmer, April 15, 2007

(VINE VOICE)
This is a really sweet, heartwarming story. I've read it several times and have a copy on my keeper shelf! Andie had always had an adversarial realtionship with her adopted cousin Clay ... but now they were adults and circumstances had them working together at the family accounting firm, where they manage to get along well despite their past history. Then, one emotional night, Andie acts on an impulse and ends up pregnant. When Clay finds out he wants to help her, but Andie refuses his offers, including his offer of marriage. She also refuses to tell him who the father is, because she knows the truth about that will destroy Clay's life and any chance they might have at happiness together ...

Description from the book back cover:

Andie McCreary was an independent, self-sufficient person, and she was perfectly capable of taking care of herself - and the precious new life she was carrying. But her old friend Clay Barrett swore her child had to have a father, and he was actually prepared to marry her to make it happen. Trouble was, for him this marriage was strictly for the baby's sake - but for Andie, it was becoming far, far more ...

5.0 out of 5 stars For The Baby's Sake, June 14, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: For The Baby's Sake (Silhouette Special Edition #925) (That Special Woman!) (Paperback)
Andie McCreary and her adopted cousin Clay Barrett are working together at his accounting firm when Andie has to tell Clay she is pregnant but she won't say who the father is. Clay talks Andie into marriage and Andie realizes she has been in love with Clay for many years but Clay cannot admit he is in love. Andie and Clay have much to learn about each other and the feelings that come with being in love and as expectant parents. I thought it was a very good read and Ms Rimmer does make the reader feel all of the emotions that Andie and Clay go though.
