My 6 month old loves this video. The only way I can take time for myself (dishes, reading, etc.) is when I put this video on. Even when he is really cranky and nothing seems to console him. I turn this video on and he is suddenly transformed into a mesmerized state of mind. The first 4 songs are his favorite. The last 2 is when he gets fussy again. This movie has moving shapes, balloons etc. that move to the beat of classical music. It really helps him and me relax.

I purchased this video for my twin 5 month old babies. They both love it. To my amazement, both of them sit and watch the video from start to finish. As soon as I turn the video on, they stop all action and just sit and watch. I would highly recommend this video to all moms and dads.

I purchased this video for my 18 month old when he was just 6 months old and it has been my best purchase yet. I have tried all the other video tapes on the market and this is the only one that keeps his interest for the whole 30 minutes. I thought for sure that he would out grow it but it still calms him down. It is great before naptime. The other two videos from Babyscapes are also wonderful, but this is his favorite.

I've purchased many of the "baby" videos on the market. This one just doesn't measure up to the rest. Sound quality is poor and seems rather dull. My children prefer the Baby Einstein and Brainy Baby series over the Babyscapes line, from birth on up. My three-year-old still loves to watch those with his six month-old sister. Avoid these, they just aren't worth the money.

get this video. my twins love it. it gives mom some time too .. and they are learning and entertained at the same time...

I purchased this video for my twins when they were 6 mths old. They loves it then and still do at a year old. This video gives me a chance to shower and even calms down my twins when they are cranky. I do not feel bad for putting them in front of the t.v. anymore if this is on. I also have 2 more baby scapes videos my girls love them both..

My daughter has had this since she was about 4 months old (she's 14 months old now). She's enjoyed this video more and more as she's gotten older. She used to sit and watch each section, and now she likes having it on in the background as she moves around the room playing. The first section (Bouncing Balls) is still her favorite. She likes to dance to it now!

The only complaint I have about the video is the 5th song which is very slow and the accompanying video is far too boring to keep any infant or toddler interested (balloons slowly floating across a cloud filled sky). My daughter hated that section when she was younger, and now just tolerates it.

Overall, a wonderful video. I also recommend the "Miracle of Mozart" by the same company. At 14 months, my daughter loves that one as well. The colors video by the same company is not as big of a hit, and she ignores it as often as not.

I'm back to buy the other videos from this group. I too can sit my daugther in her bouncy & she is enraptured. I have time to make breakfast, feed the dogs & then sit down with her for the ending. Funny, she too likes the first 4 best. The colors video is our next purchase & I'm getting them as shower gifts for friends.

I gave this video to my grandson for Christmas. At that time, he was about 4-1/2 months. Although he has some other "baby" videos, this remains his favorite. He is 7 months old and continues to be completely delighted with the colors, music, and general choreography. It calms him when tired or cranky and simply entertains him when mom and dad need him to be disracted or stimulated in a positive way.

Maybe we waited too long to buy these kind of videos for our baby. But they are too boring. At 18 months, she won't even watch them. Now, Barney videos and Sesame Street, they are really good for her and she loves them too. But this music with graphic symbols and changing scenery, I think these videos play on some kind of parental instinct to want "the best for their baby", but, really, I wouldn't give you the time of day for this one, or any of the Baby Einsten, Baby Mozart, the entire line of videos, and I've bought them all. I gave it 2 stars since the music is nice. OK for background music!! I consider myself a victim of the baby video marketing efforts by all.

That's why I have titled my Review, "A Video for Parents, not for the Baby".
