8 year old daughter LOVES this!,

Hello,Just a quick review. My daughter, who is eight, recieved this from her grandparents and LOVES it. It kept her entertained for hours and I have to admit, I played a few rounds and had a good time. There are lots of minigames and with more play, you earn more babies and more minigames are unlocked. Even the four year old brother, who did have a bit of a hard time because he doesn't hold still that well, got a kick out of it. I would recommend this for sure! I should also mention, we have all of the Cooking Mama games and Gardening Mama and Santa will be bringing Crafting Mama...all on DS. This is our first "Mama" wii game.

My 6 year old has been talking about this game since thanksgiving. She is having soooo much fun playing this game. She is a "mama" fanatic and this game fit right in with her collection. She enjoys this game so much that I ordered it for my 3 nieces for christmas. Hope everyone enjoys!!!

I was watching my daughter's play this, and I have to admit that it is a pretty cool game. It made me and my girls chuckle more than a few times. The controls can be a little challenging at times. But once my daughter's got used to the gameplay, they managed to overcome that. All in all, I do think that this game is a good teaching tool for children in that it educates them in regards to just how demanding a little baby can be at times and how frustrating it can be to care for a little one. A constant theme throughout the game is "remember, don't shake the baby". That is a good thing to drill into a kid's head.

This review is coming from someone who plays all different kinds of games. I like games like Halo and World of Warcraft, but also games like Cooking Mama and Pokemon. Needless to say, I'm quite varied in my gaming background.Babysitting Mama is actually a ton of fun! I can see why people complain about the motion controls. What I found really helps is being gentle, slow, but deliberate with your motions. I've been able to score 100 on most mini games so far with very little frustration. Another complaint people have had is that you don't have access to all the games/babies right away. After completing the first page of Yuto's story, I unlocked another baby and more games. It's all about patience and reward. The more you play, the more you unlock. I actually found this game to be very relaxing. It's a nice break from all the intense action games like Bioshock. Just rock the baby back and forth, or whatever is required of the specific game. The mini games on the outside are all different. However, the motions needed (like rocking or moving back and forth) are repetitive. This didn't bore me in any way though since each section presented the game in a different way. It was also fun to see what I unlocked after each page. I would recommend this game to pretty much everyone who enjoys the Cooking Mama series or wants to play a fun, addictive, casual game. The game is easy enough for young children to play and love. As an adult I still find it very fun and adorable. Being able to play a game where I can be gentle with the controls is a nice change of pace.

This Wii game sounds great- a babydoll that you can interact with. Yet the doll isn't used for most of the games. My 10 year old likes it but all of us struggle to understand the Mama's thick Asian accent. What's that about? My daughter was very excited to get it and played for about an hour twice. I'm not sure this one can hold a child's interest for too long. Yet she LOVED Cooking Mama.

My girls are 6 and 9 really like to play this game. I have even played and really had a great time too. Sometimes it doesn't register when you are doing something properly but it really doesn't affect the game play. I think overall this is a very fun game for young girls and some moms too!!!

Exceptional idea, unexceptional execution,

I actually saw this game at the used game store first, and I am grateful I didn't buy it there, because as a game only (meaning without the baby doll) this wouldn't be enjoyable at all. I failed to realize ahead of time that the 'mama' would have an accent, and as such its really difficult for my daughters (6 & 9) to understand her. They also went a little overboard on the "don't shake the baby" warnings, which understandably is an important concept, but its not sensitive enough to properly distinguish when the doll is truly being shaken so it ends up interrupting the game quite frequently for unnecessary reminders. Overall its a really great idea for a game, its just not the most well executed 'design' because of the difficulty in understanding, and the difficulty in deciphering what to do initially (if you do it a few times you can figure it out, but for younger kids a few times of being confused is enough to turn them off).
