This is a great looking, retro style shoe--and comfortable.

But, the sole and heel are made of a very bouncy material which just does not hold up. With the small circles (apparent attempt to imitate golf shoes look) at the heel, there is not enough material to keep the soft heels from wearing away very, very quickly.

I have lots of Bacco shoes. This is the first pair that I think wear too fast. I would not buy another pair.

Feb 2009 addition: I had the local shoe repair shop put new vibram type heels on these shoes )$15) after they wore down way too much, way too fast. Solved the problem and looks pretty good. So, I am revising my negative comments to the extent that you are willing to do something like this. Since I got the shoe when it was on super-sale for around 70% off, I am now a somewhat happy camper. And, always nice, I have gotten a couple of compliments on my cool retro shoes.

By the way, the Amazon photo of the shoes shown today (blue) appears to be of a different model. The brown is the Bebeto, not the blue.

This is a very beautifull pair of shoes and very confortable. I have one pair. The sole is soft. The small circles doesn't attempt to imitate golf shoes look, just works like glue, specially in wet floors.
