This review is from: Bach for the Cello: Ten Pieces in the First Position (Paperback)
These pieces are all in first position, which is great. However it's quite tricky to figure them out and make sure you're playing them accurately. It would be ideal if it came with a CD.

I know this is supposed to be a beginning Bach cello book, but I thought the majority of the pieces were boring. I sight read them all to decide which one to have my student work on for a solo (that was the reason I purchased it). The Gigue is a fun little piece and that is the one I will be using, but the rest of them are pretty blah.

This collection of arranged Bach tunes is great for first pieces with piano. Everything stays in 1st position.
