4.0 out of 5 stars the creation of a dance, February 18, 2007

This review is from: Bach Cello Suite #4: Sarabande (DVD)
if you wish to witness the creation of a dance from concept through missteps in rehearsal and be a fly on the wall, this is a rare treat ... until watching this film of morris' choreography and his interactions with both ma and his dancers, i never really appreciated his art which sometimes strikes me as a bit too precious, unlike a taylor or parsons. there is a lovely scene where he is directing his dancers and in the midst realizes his idea isn't working, and you get to see him deal with that on film, with the classic line finally, ok, let's take it from the top. the second piece is some kind of short film that i found impossible to watch.
