This review is from: Bach Cornet Mouthpiece Group II 10-1/2C
The Bach 10-1/2 C strikes me as a great confidence builder for the student who's just been assigned to the first chair of their eighth grade band or the comeback player who knows all the licks but hasn't the lip to make them work. I use mine when I have those spells in my long comeback process when I'm too lazy to practice every day and it really seems to make exercises go faster when I'm struggling to get back into a routine.

My impression is that for me it produces a trumpety, rather thin sound compared to the gold-standard Bach 7C so I don't use it except for practice. But it slots well and makes it less of a chore to play the high notes. For me it makes it too easy to fill up the horn with insufficient breath support so I try not to use it for a whole practice session; bad habits are easier to break if they don't become ingrained.

As always my mouthpiece reviews are my own experience and are not meant to reflect the experience of people with bigger, smaller, stronger nor weaker lips. And heaven forbid, especially not meant to influence any comeback player who has had $7000 worth of collagen injected into their lips since high school!
