Bach 1C Cornet Mouthpiece, made in 2011,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bach Cornet Mouthpiece Group I 1C
I got this mouthpiece basically so that I can play the Arban's cornet solos actually on cornet, and I got a 1C because that is what I play on my trumpet. I'm definitely glad that I got this mouthpiece. Bach's have a great sound, and are sold at a great price. The silver plating is very comfortable for me, as well as the rim contour. I played a Monette trumpet mouthpiece for about 5 years, but eventually decided that I liked the Bach mouthpieces better - plus they are $200 cheaper! The only thing I would say about Bach mouthpieces for cornet is that it does make the cornet sound more like a trumpet. The Boosey and Hawkes mouthpiece that came with my cornet gives the instrument much more of a mellow sound, almost like a flugel. |
