Charles William Daniel (1871-1955) was a maverick free-thinker whose tiny publishing house had august links with many of the most influential thinkers and movements of the 20th century. To wit, copies of Daniel's books could be found in the library at Ghandi's ashram. This spirit lived on after his death, and the company maintained its niche by publishing definitive texts on a variety of spiritual and esoteric subjects. Many of these titles, notably those on Aromatherapy and Bach Flower remedies, have become standard works on the subject. When the C.W. Daniel list went looking for a new home, the Vermilion and Rider imprints were the natural place for this wonderful collection of authors.

About the Author

Judy Howard is a registered nurse, midwife and health visitor who has been a member of the Edward Bach Centre team since 1985. She is a Trustee and Custodian of the Bach Centre, running the Centre's educational wing. Her other books include Bach Flower Remedies for Women and Growing Up with the Bach Flower Remedies.

The layout of this small book reminds me of a Dover reprint - lots of white space, old type fonts, and very stiff cheap paper. Nothing is wrong with the information though: it's accurate and easy to understand. However, if you have worked with the essences, it will not offer new insights or information. Good basic reference.

I was very happy with this book. It gave great suggestions on using the flowers with children and the different ways you can apply them in general. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in the Bach Remedies.

This is a great book for beginners, just as the title indicates. Keep studying, this is a wonderful way to address subtle changes in your constitution.
