The text is less but the CD more?,

This review is from: Bach: The Keyboard Works (Black Dog Music Librry) (Hardcover)
Johann Sebastian Bach might be called the father of modern western music.
He made the keyboard instrument a viable form and with his sons/ family really started a school of composition and music theory in a German image. The book actually doesn't go into the text detail I would have liked, but the depth of the CD with some great artists that I wasn't at all familiar with, made up for that. I was actually hoping for more scores and analysis of style in composition. |
